Upon exiting the store, Maria the loss prevention checked my receipt and my daughter‘s bag. Which I did not have a problem with that. She went through every item that my daughter had. Then when I asked for my receipt back when she was done with it, she made us stand there and wait on her to check the person behind me receipt and their bag which happened to be a separate transaction and another bag that belonged to my wife. I asked her was this procedure. She said yes. I stood there and watched as the next three customers who happened to be of another nationality than me get a wave and an automatic check and initial on their receipt with no baggage check through and they had more items than we did. So we were made to wait and go through every item while others were waved through. This is my local Ross and I go here quite frequently. I felt based on the amount of people in the store and based on me having to wait to even get my receipt back, for them to go to that length to check everything in our one bag but let everybody else pass I felt discriminated against. When I brought this to manager Raul‘s attention, he told me it was just policy. Then when I ask, it’s policy to just go through one person‘s bag out of everyone’s bag and only check one person‘s receipt and just initial the rest. He then told me that this is LPO‘s audits and this is how it goes. Stating that its procedure again. The receipt check policy sign doesn’t state that by the way. My wife and daughter both felt embarrassed that we were the only bags that were checked and made to feel like we did something wrong while everybody else was waved through. When I asked for the LPO name she wouldn’t give it to me and said I don’t give names or anything you can wait or go to corporate. So now I’m writing this and I will also send this in a same email copy and paste it to corporate. This is not how you treat paying repeat customers I used to manage certain retail stores myself, and I would never treat guest this way. It is bad customer service and is greatly unappreciated. There was several people there that were not of my race that were treated differently, and my money spends the same as theirs. I will not be spending my money with you or coming back to this store and I will make sure that others know what happened so they can make a choice whether or not to come to that store and location as well. Not satisfied at all with store 0709. Especially if your a person of color. They treat you like you steal.

PARMER LANE LOCATION REVIEW: I cannot get over the uncleanliness of the fitting rooms. Shut these down and have a professional company come in a do a deep clean. Horrible conditions!!!!

What a messy store!! I couldn't shop with all the mess. Not sure if all Ross Stores are as bad as this one.

The store is good, it has variety.
The only thing I don't like is that it is always scattered and that they only leave one or two clerks while the line of customers reaches almost to the other side of the store.
