I had an appointment booked for 6:30 PM last Friday, but the salon called just an hour before to cancel because the stylist had a family emergency. No hate toward the stylist, I genuinely hope everything is okay with her family, but I found the way they handled the situation very odd.
Without even an apology, the person on the phone casually said the stylist can’t make it but could see me tomorrow at 11 instead. LIKE WHAT? I was already ready to leave the house at that point.
If a client canceled on such short notice, they’d be charged the full amount. But when the salon cancels, there’s no apology, no compensation, and not even a proper attempt to accommodate my schedule. Why am I the only one held accountable to show up to the appointment? Very unprofessional experience.

WOW!! Safe to say I found a salon that I will be coming back to. Ty gave me a tour given it was my first time there and it is a nice spacious layout and is very clean. The hand massage during the styling was *chef’s kiss*. If you are looking to be in great hands definitely come to Ruiz Salon.

I came in as a new client and was matched with Jamie. She did an incredible job! She completely understood my vision and was very diligent in explaining her plans and ideas. She got it exactly right! I left the salon looking straight off of my Pinterest board! The salon was lovely and all of the staff was so professional and kind. Will be returning!

Jamie is absolutely amazing! This is the first time I’ve had a haircut that I genuinely love. She is so kind and takes her time to understand exactly what you want. She never makes you feel rushed and explains everything she’s doing step by step. Her attention to detail and care really make the experience special.
