Good knowledge, however customer service is absolutely terrible and ruins the totality of the experience you will have at Easley Boxing. Below are just some of the issues I had.I purchased ten packs of solo one on one training sessions with my coach at around 65 or 70 dollars each session. The training was supposed to take place every M,W,F at 9AM, but it totally depended on me receiving a text at 7 or 8PM the night before from my coach as to whether or not he was going to show up to my scheduled training. Sometimes I wouldn't receive a text. Sometimes I’d be on the way to my session and I’d receive a text thirty minutes before my session informing me he would not be there. He said it depended on whether or not other boxers wanted to switch the times they wanted to train for the day. They were always given priority, which made me feel like I was a burden to be a customer at this place. My coach was consistently 10 or 15 minutes late to our sessions because he wanted to go for a jog instead of being on time for our scheduled session. Once he trained some other student along with me during my solo 1:1 session... double the profit I guess. There is no way for students to verify the accuracy of the quantity of sessions left. My 10 pack of lessons would mysteriously be reduced by two or three sessions before he would call and want more money. The last straw was when I overheard my coach discussing my lack of skill with youth students directly in front of me. I decided right then I was done with this guy and this gym. That was the last session I went to. I let him keep the 4 remaining sessions I paid for. It was something I really enjoyed that I was proud of myself for doing and learning, but after that moment I realized I was an absolute fool.Anyways, months after informing my coach I was leaving the gym, I was still continuing to be charged. I ended up having to file a fraud claim through my bank and get a new card to get the charges to stop. I had to physically make it impossible for them to charge me again for the charges to stop. How crazy is that? Anyways, in the long run I ended up giving up boxing in totality and just focus on lifting now. This place crushed my confidence and I still haven't gotten it back.

Edit on 10/4/22: After contacting the gym and the coach multiple times to remove my card and stop charging me the monthly fees I am still getting charged months after leaving the gym. Stay away from this place. This has been nothing but a poor experience from the start with terrible customer service. All I wanted to do was learn something new. Big mistake. Original review: I learned a lot here, but the customer service is poor. One-on-one classes (purchased at around 70 dollars for a one hour session in packages of 10,) were supposed to take place consistently at 9AM MWF, but totally depended on weather or not I received a text form the coach the evening before at around 7 or 8 PM. Sometimes I would be on my way to class in the morning and I would receive a text saying he would not be at the appointment. Sometimes no text the night before, but I would still be charged for the session. Sometimes the coach would just not show up to training. My sessions were adjusted to fit the schedule of others. My 10 pack of classes would mysteriously decrease by two or three sessions before the coach called and demanded that I purchase an additional package of classes, even though I still had 3 classes which were not completed. Sometimes he would train another student at the same time as my one-on-one training which was supposed to be my block of time I paid for. What made me decide to leave this gym were comments I overheard the coach making to youth teenage students regarding my lack of skill and speed. I'm almost 40 and only wanted to learn boxing for fun and a challenge. I had no desire to be competitive against other students, or to be compared to them. His attempt to gain favor with these kids cost him business - I enjoyed the training up until that moment and decided that would be my last class there. When I left the gym and informed my coach that day he did not cancel my membership and I continued to be charged. Upon reaching out to the coach, he informed me that I would have to contact the owner about removing my card and reversing the erroneous charge. This coach has been my sole and only contact regarding staff at the gym - why do I have to suddenly talk to someone else I have never met or heard of to get my money back, but the same person will gladly accept my money and do his best to get more? There also seems to be a weird arrogance among boxing coaches who have been fighting for many years...I cant figure it out and I'm wondering if this air is limited to boxers or also creeps into Muay Thai and MMA coaches as well. It ruined the sport for me. Now when I talk to people I tell them this story and recommend going to Lords Gym instead. Moral of the story: if you don't give a customer a reason to write a negative review then one won't be written. Treat the customer well and he will come back over and over. It's simple.

Today was me and my daughters first class here - we were both nervous walking in, those fears quickly dissipated. The coaches were so great to me and my kid and everyone in class was friendly. Serious boxing gym that’s welcoming to everyone. Can’t say enough about them.

I can't recommend this place enough. Jodie, The Bull, Gabriel.. everyone that coaches here are incredible and very personable. Whether it's for open gym access or classes, I always get a great work out in. Everyone that works out here is very humble and down to earth. You meet a lot of people in classes and it really is a great way to meet new people. If you want to get in shape while also learning a skill set, this is the place that you want to go to. If you don't bring equipment, that's ok. They sell wraps and gloves at a great price. I wish I could take them with me as I move away because this is one of the places that I will miss in Austin. Great team. Great clientele. Great location. Great price. If you're looking for a boxing gym, this is hands down the best around.

I work out there almost everyday excluding the weekends and I really love it. Coach Ernest is the main coach i work with there but honestly all the coaches there are good and very competent. What I enjoy about Easley boxing is they teach real boxing. What I mean is that they teach boxing for self defense purposes as well as for fitness. I recommend this gym for anyone wanting to learn how to fight better and not get hit as well as those who need a good place for fitness and to loose weight.

This place is incredible. Started a year ago, with zero boxing experience, and haven't looked back. Every single workout kills you, especially conditioning days, regardless if you're brand new or super experienced. The coaches are intentional while teaching technique, and they guide you each step of the way - even if you're starting from the ground up. You're able to learn and sharpen your craft, workout super intensely, and beat the heck out of a bag, too. They're an absolutely welcoming team, and they know their stuff 100%. If you want to try boxing or have a workout that works you super hard, this is where you need to be.

I was new to Austin and trying different studios. The folks here workout intensely but with such kindness and warmth. I had never done anything like it before and they were encouraging without compromising for other experienced people in the studio.

Easley is the best boxing gym I've been to. Why? The staff is awesome! They're very experienced and always willing to help you out. I'm a beginner and I felt a little intimidated training next to some of the bigger and stronger fighters, but after a few weeks, I felt ready to go. They've got all kinds of punching bags, some free weights, barbells, and group classes. Great place

It's not a bad gym but the coaches only focus on the people that actual compete. Classes are always the same, boring, not enough bag work because there's barely 6 bags for a class of 20 students. During summer there's no AC and working out inside is hell but for $75 a month you can't ask for more I guess.

I LOVE it! As a female athlete who has been in male-dominated environments since I was a toddler, I am used to feeling unwelcome and am always braced for the, "attitude". Very much not the case at this spot. Everyone was super nice and helpful and I was allowed to go at my own pace during the conditioning portion of the class, which is good because I haven't been working out since the start of the pandemic and my cardio is a dumpster fire. I can't wait to get back into shape at Easley!
