We have been living in Iowa for 7 and half years and I really miss the excellent service we got from Saul at S&A Auto Repair. We lived in Austin for 22 years and were lucky enough to find Saul very quickly. From the moment he fixed my first car until we left Austin, Saul was the only place we went to have our cars fixed. This is one man that you can trust to do an excellent job at a fair price.

I was looking for a Body Shop close to my house after my wife’s car got hit by a deer on the highway. Found S&A so gave them a call and spoke to the owner Saul. He told me they can do the work and after looking at the car gave me a quote.
They delivered above and beyond expectations. The work was excellent and you couldn’t even tell the car was damaged previously. On top of that it was $90 cheaper than his original quote. Good customer service, quality work, and completed on time. Couldn’t ask for more. I’m always glad to support small locally owned businesses like S&A

Oh boy, watch out ladies! Saul is the rudest mechanic I’ve ever spoken to. Look elsewhere if you want to be treated with respect. I received an estimate for repairs and when I called the shop to go over it and get a better sense of what they were proposing to do, I got a major attitude from him. I tried to ask questions in order to understand what the different items on the list were, Saul got super defensive, denied answering any of my questions and gave up on the job, saying I could take my car elsewhere.I was hit by a city bus so the damage is being paid by their insurance since it was the bus conductor’s fault. So I don’t care how much the repair will cost but I do care about preserving my car with its original parts as much as possible. And I do want to be on the same page as the repair shop when it comes to working on my property. At the end of the day, even if the insurance approves their estimate, I, as the car owner, also need to approve the job. I love my car and want things to be done a certain way whenever possible. And if not possible, tell me, answer my questions, and work with me so we can come to an agreement. I think this is reasonable.I don’t do well with macho men who think women don’t know anything. And I will never let myself be bullied by such people. Saul, you suck!

Needed my frame checked for a bend, called in mid December was told "yes, we can do that" and to call back in Jan. 2nd week in Jan I called back and was told to call back in 2 weeks. Told them that I needed it checked and would like to get my name in line so I wouldn't have to be continually told to "call back".The guy abruptly changed his story and told me that they couldn't do it.Horrible customer service.

I had gotten into a pretty rough accident and destroyed the left side of my car. The shop arranged a tow for my car, handled the details with my insurance themselves, and returned my car in perfect condition. You can’t even tell there was an accident. S & A was recommended to me by my buddies at Hackney Auto. I was on Loop 1 going north and a driver tried to merge into my lane. The only problem was I was there and to my left was the toll lane. I had to drive through about 10 seconds of dividers. Tore up my fog light, side panelling and my hood. S & A charged a reasonable and the car looks as good as new. They kept me abreast of the delays in shipping (at the time I write this there are serious issues with shipping and supply chain internationally) but had the car fixed in just over a week. They worked well with the rep from my insurance ad made everything easy.
