If you wish to get treated with respect not lied on and charged unnecessary fees, amongst other things; go elsewhere.
I was trying to save money.
I should've stuck with the 4 and 5 star hotels.
I'm NOT going back and forth with these people!

I've stayed here twice in the last few months and I have to say it's a great spot to stay. The staff are always friendly and more than accommodating, the rooms are clean, the noise in the passageways are quiet, and the access to Austin is great. The first time I stayed. They allowed me to park my motorcycle under the awning and even kept am eye on it overnight for me. I've never stayed long enough to enjoy the breakfast, so I can't speak to that. If you're ever in need of a great room and are in the area, I encourage you to give them a try.
Food and drinks: Spinners bar and grill is a very easy walk of about 200 yards. They had a good burger there.

Solid stay. Front desk employees were friendly and helpful. Room was pleasant, but a little dated (TV and shower). Bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. Breakfast is standard fare, but clean with plenty of seating.

Not a bad hotel for the price. If you can get it for $75 or less.
Pros:
1.) Rooms are decent
2.) Breakfast is decent
3.) Quiet Atmosphere
4.) Decent Lobby
5.) Staff seems nice and friendly so far
Cons:
1.) Internet is useless, but that seems on par with all the hotels I've been to in Austin.
2.) Vending machines only take bills, and not all are working
3.) TV is ok, but should be better when your internet isn't good enough for even YouTube.
4.) Need to make a pretty big loop to get to any stores that are close, this makes the vending machine situation worse, unless your willing to pay an atm fee to get cash for the limited selection available.
If you just need a clean room to crash because you will be out most of the time and don't need the internet for anything important, for $75 or less I would take it.
If your coming on business, the internet is going to ruin you without a good hotspot. Not that I have found good internet in any hotel in Austin, they all seem to have connections from the early 2000's, but this place is the worse, not only is it slow as molasses, you'll get knocked off every 5 minutes. You might think to go to a local Starbucks for a meeting, forget it, I went to 4 different Starbuck today, by far the most coffee I drank in one day, sadly, the internet was horrible at all of them, better then the hotel for sure, but for work it's going to aggravate you.
I spent half the day looking for wifi, surprisingly, the McDonald's not to far away has amazing internet, doing some work there was like doing it home, nice and snappy.
Rooms: Pretty clean

Platinum member but this hotel falls short on the perks this weekend. Planned an amazing hike only to have to check out before I can come back and shower. The late check out perk doesn't apply to this hotel. I travel from DFW and hike often, other choice hotels in the area have been most accommodating. Despite being sold out or short staffed. This one had a night Person who just wanted to state policy and how they were sold out. Does platinum really work like that? Gold? If so, time to find another chain to give my business to. Or is it just this hotel. Also, at other hotels I've been offered complimentary water and just smiles and conversation. I've been on the road and sucks to not be greeted kindly @ 8pm since I have to check out at 12pm.
