I tried calling their office multiple times, leaving messages, to make an appt. to get my taxes done and she never responded and the website was not available for a long time. When I was finally able to access the website to make an appt. there weren't any available. I went to the office to try and get a walk in appt, since they have state on the website that those are welcome. The office was closed and I called to see if they were going to open soon and she gave me such attitude about just showing up 2 days before taxes were due. I have gone to South Austin Tax Service for years, but I will no longer be going and would not recommend them to anyone. She was very unprofessional and rude!

Submitted my taxes 2 months ago, left a message for a call back month and a half ago. Kept calling and voice not set up anymore. Finally came by in person today and the office is closed. This is very disappointing to me since I have used them in the past and were great. I don’t know what happened but Just by the look at the past 4 month reviews they all had similar experience.

If I weren’t so mad, I could laugh about this. Maybe I will one day. I submitted my taxes in mid April and was told my tax return should be submitted by end of April. It is now mid June and I’ve heard nothing. I sent an email mid May about the status and never received a response. You try to call and get no answer and there is no option to leave a voicemail. I sent another email. Nothing. Another email. Finally someone answered and gave me some excuse like there’s a “merger” but wouldn’t answer any questions about the status of my taxes. I set up an appointment through the client portal for today at 3. Well; what do you know? I show up and the doors are locked! And of course no one is answering the phone. For the love of God, don’t go here. I was also told they filed an extension for me but doubt that happened either. These people are liars and frauds. I’m just hoping I’m not penalized by the IRS for their laziness and incompetence.

Hardly open during business hours, found that out because they never answer the phone. It’s been over a month now & they still haven’t emailed me any details on my tax return. Haven’t heard anything at all. Not organized at all. No one in that office doors locked.Update*** it’s been 5 weeks they just now called me back to tell me it hasn’t even been filed.A week ago the same guy said yes I see you are getting a check..i said no I chose direct deposit. He continued to play along saying oh yes I see that. Now he said he didn’t file them yet.This is so DISRESPECTFUL

I'm shocked at some of these reviews, especially regarding Kristen. I've been using SATS for years and have nothing but praise for their services! They have saved me thousands of dollars over the years, they are prompt and professional!

Since Keith left the place has been falling apart. Kristen is very rude to the customers and her schedule is really messed up. Don't expect your appointment to be at the right time. You got to wait for 2 hours. According to her walk-in's are a big mistake. If you enjoy getting treated rudely , be my guest and visit her.

Kristen might be the worst person I have every dealt with from any kind of professional service. She did my taxes and afterwards, I had a few questions on how my income was calculated as it showed way more income than I have actually received along with a few other things that I don't know where the numbers came from. I asked a question through their web portal and got back a cryptic document with scribbles all over that were not easy to follow and made absolutely no sense. I kept asking for time to talk through the web portal and leaving messages for weeks that went completely ignored. I finally stopped into the office one day thinking I would get clarity as I had a couple of other questions to ask that were not in her previous unintelligible response. She almost immediately became rude and argumentative and acted like a crazy person. I guess you have to take what she gives you and you are not allowed to questions. She said that she spent her hour on me and wasn't going to spend more. At one point she even said "I'm not explaining the tax code to a cave man." - I guess referring to my beard? Knowing that I was not going to get clarity from her, I asked for a refund (never pay until the job is done), as I was going to have to go to another tax professional to have them redone. She refused and said that I would have to file a dispute with my credit card company. The whole experience was absolutely insane and in some ways was a little traumatic.NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GO HERE

The lady I spoke with this morning was so rude and hang up on me. I was just making a follow up on my tax filing. Left all my paper works with them last Tuesday. I understand that she's busy and I appreciate them. But being rude is just unacceptable.

I called in today to get some general questions answered since this will be my first time filing taxes on my own. Kristen answered and was able to consult me over the phone on my next steps, and it felt like I was talking to a friend. She was so helpful and knowledgable. I highly recommend working with these experts! Looking forward to growing our working relationship together.
