Stopped in for the first time today and received wonderful customer service! Found a new mezcal recommended by a staff member and I as able to save some $$ with the help of another staff member. Plus the selection was the largest I’ve ever seen and full of variety.

I’ve stopped in this place a few times now. Liquor stores can be funny, sometimes the staff are similar to baristas…In other words they have some sort of weird uppity aspect to their personality and that translates to their customer service. I actually got that treatment the very first time I went here. And that made me write this place off initially. However, I returned several months later while trying to track down a particular bourbon, and was met with great service and friendly staff. I’ve been back a couple more times since and also received great service. Selection is fine, and they have some good stuff if you catch them on the right day. I’ve found some great allocated stuff here, but like I said you have to catch it just right. And that’s the same at every liquor store. Overall, this is a great little store and is worth a shop.

Love this store! Has everything I want and more with great prices. I always walk out with something new to try. Will is so helpful and knowledgeable. I asked him for recommendations and not only did he have suggestions, he also had extra helpful information. They even have thc drinks and 0 alc. I recommend the cheech and chong brand.

If you want customer service; be an attractive woman. I live next to this place and my neighbors in the building all seem to have the same experience here. Most if not all employees are middle aged white men who don’t like working there. When I go, I expect the clerk to be feverishly helping a young woman while ignoring the register. Friendly if you can get someone’s attention. Too many competitors in the neighborhood to have such poor customer service.

This place has an amazing variety of everything from liquors, wines, beers and even sours. It’s hard to find good sours many places and we were so excited to have so many to choose from here. This is probably going to be one of the new faves we frequent.

We recently attended a convention in Austin - South Lamar Manager William and Staffer Miles were incredibly helpful with our huge order before we arrived, during and after the convention. They were helped with its delivery to our hotel and with the return of unopened items. Their service and hospitality were professional, friendly and top-notch. When we visit Austin again South Lamar Liquor will surely be one of our stops!
