About Stevie Ray Vaughan Statue
The Stevie Ray Vaughan Statue sits in a beautiful park along the river near downtown Austin. People see the statue and a hidden guitar integrated into the landscape, making the short trip worthwhile. The setting by Lady Bird Lake offers the skyline behind, the trail in front, and the music history of Austin all around. Many people bring pets and exercise, while runners from the DSACT Running Club enjoy the trail. Parking is limited; there is no free parking, and a $15 fee on The Loop is required for two hours. Those with special needs should seek free handicap parking, though none were seen. The monument is neat and well done, with great detail, and provides a peaceful vibe. It is worth a stop, especially at sunset.
