About Sunrise Community Church
Sunrise Community Church is a favorite place in Austin and a vital hub for the unhoused community. It operates a Homeless Navigation Center on weekdays from 9am to 1pm, serving as a critical resource center. The church provides extensive help including meals, clothing, showers, hygiene supplies, housing navigation, and move-in cost assistance. They offer free bus passes, including year-long passes, along with mail services, phone charging, and help applying for benefits like SNAP and healthcare. Everything is done in the morning, and it sits right on a bus route. The church serves 60-80 people each morning, with lines forming early. Volunteers keep things moving quickly, playing music and using misters to keep people cool. It is a place that steals hearts, offering amazing support to those who are homeless or just in need of a meal. The community effort makes a huge positive impact, helping people navigate resources to get off the street. The town would be in trouble without their help. Church services are also held on Sundays at 10am.

I love it they give you a year bus pass to get around when your struggling! I have not experienced that most places want you to come back and forth up there to get a pass.. .when you can barely make it on the bus w/o fare so yeah thats a great provision!
