They are very nice, polite to everyone and help so much. Good people that got me thru some really hard times and didn't make me feel like they were looking down on me just because of what I didn't have. They are all very positive when they speak with you which makes you want to believe in yourself again. When you're homeless people treat you differently. Makes you feel like nothing sometimes. Even people that may be trying to help you. You can see and feel them judging you . At Sunrise I have never been treated with anything but kindness and respect. It's a great place. I highly recommend going there if you ever find yourself in need of a map card. Help applying for food stamps or Medicaid. If you need an emergency check up for something new or existing. If you're hungry they have breakfast and lunch. If you need socks, toiletries, a shower, need to wash your clothes, they even help with dog food when they can and you can have a housing assessment done which will get you on lists for places that can help with getting you a home and off the streets. Have relatives or friends that live out of town and you want to go stay with them? Then they can offer a bus pass to get you there. Honestly if you're in need for almost anything you should go to Sunrise church. ?

I consider myself a fairly spiritual person who doesn’t mind helping others but this church is a MESS. They contribute so much to the trash, homelessness and unsafe nature of Ben White Blvd/ Highway 71.They are literally ruining the business around them servicing our houseless community in an unproductive manner. They also have signs outside that say, “Alcohol and drugs permitted on the premises.” This is confusing to me because while Jesus taught us to love one another he also believed in accountability for your actions. The kind of “help” Sunrise Church is giving out only creates problems and enables poor behavior.Edit: Then why don’t you enforce it? I drove past yesterday and literally counted 4 men peeing on the side of your building, next to your Narcan dispenser.

Trina and I visited the Sunrise Community Church and observed what the daily goings on at sunrise is. It's almost a Jerry Springer show every day. They also have a N.I.C.E. free narcan dispensing machine outside. It always helps to have a few with you in case someone goes into an overdose on drugs.

I came here to get help with my driver's license (I live in my car), and Diane was very helpful and friendly when I arrived. I get paranoid sometimes with my thought process, but she was very accommodating, polite, friendly, and helped me out a lot. Thank y'all!
