“This HEB is a bit smaller than others. This building has probably been around for a number of years. That means that the aisels are narrower and the selection of items do not match what is typically found at other HEBs.
Often on Saturdays they have many free samples and on special weekends they have live music! ?”

“I just love the feel and vibes of the place — it’s very cozy and clean. They also have a lot of hot readymade food, and all their selections for things like produce is of high quality and usually organic.”
“Great food court with great deals on the pizza and hotdogs (1$ for a huge slice of pizza and 1.50 for a hotdog and a drink.) Their is not mutch seating so have someone find a table while order at the kiosk and wait about a muinet and a half for your food. Also note that around one it gets packet and it is impossible to find a table so get their a little early. Lastly all of the other items like the chicken bake/sandwich are good but just a bit priceyer.”

“Its not Arlans anymore-This place was formerly minimax. Back then it was like 50's time warp. A few years ago it was taken over by Arlan's, a small chain. It was a big improvement, more produce, better products, better hours and more. As of Spring 2021 it has been taken over by Fresh Plus. As of Sept 2021 they are still re-arranging and re-stocking the store so in some respects it is a work in progress. But what I've seen so far is a reduction in the variety of products they carry (especially produce) . You don't shop here if your on a budget as well.They do have an expanded beer and wine selection which seems to take up about 1/5 of the store now, I guess that's what sells at greater margins. The other "neighborhood" grocery stores have similar footprints for booze.Hours got cut (they close at 9) from Arlans, not quite as much charm either. The last of the mini-max era people have left as well. We'll see how it finally shakes out.It still a good place to go to pick up something fast (if they ever quit moving things around and you can find it).”

“I remembered this location having a hot deli, now they had a stand with hot chicken only. Bring back potato wedges, Mmac n cheese, hot dogs, ribs, anything! Not just chicken, we don't do chicken, my husband is allergic. The store was redone since mast time, nice. Just a suggestion in the hot deli item selection. Everyone in the meat department was nice when I got sliced turkey.”
“This HEB is small and bc of its size the layout is not what you typical see at larger locations. A little frustrating to navigate but store associate very friendly and helpful.”

This is not a commerical restaurant ... it is slightly off the beaten path no, fluff, fancy lights or machinery its all about the food here ...no extra workers to make deliveries just a simple down home AUTHENTIC african restaurant which is also an international market. If you are a foodie this is where you go. This experience is best when sitting at the table in this restaurant with football on the tv and african music in the backgroung. This is as close as your going to get to africa without acutally traveling there...When you enter the restaurant you will forget your in america..Please support this amazing place and enjoy the tru taste of africa please dont be lazy come inside and enjoy the food. The will accept credit cards in a pinch cash is always preferred...”

“I missed my original flight and when I got to the ticket counter, the agent politely said she had shut her workstation down. I explained that I had a flight and needed to know if I was too late. She powered her system back up and told me yes I was too late. Panicking because I was going to a wedding, she calmly told me my options. I rebooked for the first flight out the next morning and she gave me a drink coupon for my nerves. Ms. Nikki was wonderful and so was the other agent the next morning.”
“I was about 15 years old when i ate my first lengua taco here and it was good back then and it still hasnt changed im 38 now hands down i think this is best place in the world for lengua tacos ! Sounds crazy but hey ive been around and no one cooks it like this !!!”

A couple of the cashiers are exceptionally nice with my last experience being with a nice young lady named Faith. I have yet to see any gnats or such in their produce area unlike some other stores across the way.”
