Malinda did a great job fixing my previous color and bleaching my roots. I recently switched to Swoon salon because the salon I had been going to wasn’t able to give me a uniform blonde shade. Also, I was pleasantly surprised at how painless it was. My previous experiences burned like hell so I assumed that level of pain was normal for bleach blonde hair coloring. Thanks!

Growing up, my mom cut my hair. For the first six years of adulthood, I cut my hair. Now that I can afford a real haircut at a real salon, I only trust the ladies at Swoon. Kind, reasonably priced, great cuts.

Easily the best cut / color I’ve had in years. I’ve been getting highlights since I was in high school but have struggled since the pandemic - trying balayage but always feeling like my hair was darker than I wanted; going back to highlights but not liking how quickly and starkly they grew out.
Enter: Swoon. When I arrived for my appointment I got to chat with Micky (the owner) and finally felt like someone heard and understood the frustrations I’ve had. She shared with me some of the science behind the techniques and why I was getting those results, and helped me find the right shade and technique for a lower-maintenance, brighter blonde.
Then Malinda worked color *magic* on my hair — using detailed techniques I have *never* seen anyone else do for placing the highlights in a way that would grow out more elegantly.
It’s been about 2 months and I still love my cut and color - and for the first time ever, love how it has grown out! I feel like it looks more natural with my skin tone and eyebrows, but still gives me the light blonde feeling I’ve had (and tried so hard to keep) since I was a child.
Thank you Malinda and Micky! It is so nice to look in the mirror and still feel so good about my hair months after the salon. I’ve already scheduled my next appointment!
(Also - the salon is adorable and the vibes are immaculate. Easily the most laid back, calm and welcoming place in Austin - no pretentiousness; and the staff all feel like a family vs. individual people renting chairs next to each other). There’s also a patio out back and a coffee shop / restaurant next door where you can sit and work or hang!)

Swoon’s the jam! My stylist Malinda is crazy talented, funny, and laid back. Her men’s cuts are on point! I know the owner Micky and she’s the best kind of people. Everyone else in the shop seems great too. The environment comfortable and funky with zero pretension. Really nothing but nice things to say about the place. Definitely book an appointment as it’s not the ‘pop in and see if they’ve got time’ kinda shop.

Lacey is amazing! I’ve seen her twice now. She totally understands curls and my hair still looks super when I blow it out. Love the vibe of the salon too, very relaxed environment. Lacey took her time with the whole process and left me feeling fresh and stylish.

Fresh after a Dallas highlight that fried my hair I sped to Austin because Micky at Swoon (Founder/Lead Stylist) is a hair health expert who has rescued my locks after quite a few reckless hair color experiments on my part. She has also made healthy hair and education a trademark priority for all stylists at Swoon, so I trust everyone she trusts to work there. I had not previously met Lacey, but booked with her as she thankfully had an opening that fit my hectic schedule. (These are top-tier stylists in high-demand, so I advise booking in advance!)
Lacey was extremely patient, listened carefully, explained everything in detail, and was both professional and empathetic. She knew exactly what needed to be done. When I walked in my hair was basically orange straw. I left with baby-soft beautiful angel-blonde hair. Lacey was also super intuitive and knew exactly how to formulate the color I wanted, even though I was speaking word salad. And frankly it was just a nice visit. Lacey immediately made my hair anxiety disappear and the Swoon environment is welcoming, beautiful, and embodies a functional design that incorporates both green space and modern art.
I pre-booked my next appointment and decided I will travel to Austin for all my future hair appointments. Swoon is worth it, and I can’t believe I even considered going to a different salon. Won’t make that mistake again! Thanks Micky! Thanks Lacey!

i got my hair cut by ana and didn’t expect to get my hair cut perfectly while also getting a free emotional support talk on the side. she fit me in 30 minutes after i had called. not only that, but also fit me in on 4th of july… while i was rushing to find a hair salon open today. my hair was fried and cut horribly (by myself the night before) and she fixed it within an hour. ana was amazing, not only as a hairdresser, but as a person. and i recommend her 1000%

Ana is amazing! I am extremely grateful to have found such a gem. I recently relocated to Austin and needed a new stylist. The first salon I picked butchered my hair, and I was horrified until I found Ana at Swoon Salon. Ana corrected all the mistakes, corners, shelves, and so much more that had been done wrong to my hair. Ana saved me from walking around with an ugly hair helmet that was completely butchered throughout! She did such a fantastic job on every level, thanks, Ana! I will be back, and I would recommend choosing Ana for any type of detailed haircut. She is extremely creative and highly skilled at her craft ✨️?
