I had really high hopes for this cut with Jessica Casarez but unfortunately it didn't work out. A big section of face framing on one side was cut too bluntly and too high as seen in the photo below. I had to get it fixed and she couldn't see me the same day so I went elsewhere because I was going out of town. Due to how blunt the cut was and how much hair was cut that way, the stylist that was fixing the issue had to cut that section higher overall to blend it in properly and had to cut the other side to match as well. So instead of having my face framing start at the bottom of my lips like I requested I have bangs and much shorter hair around my face. I’ll have to wait 2-3 months to get my face framing back 😭 and learn how to style these bangs since my usual air drying does not work for them. I'm so so upset because one of my main hobbies is dancing and it's hard to do my hairography with this cut and I have performances coming up. I also can't put all my hair up to free up my face because the bangs and shorter hairs fall. If this wasn't a multiple month fix, I wouldn't be so bothered. I also reached out to her to let her know I was unhappy with the end result but she has not responded to me.
I recommend checking the stylists at Apotheca instead.

I had my first appointment at Third Space Salon with Erica yesterday and its hands down the best haircut I've received in Austin. Highly recommended for men with long hair. Looking forward to my next visit!

Erica's hair cuts are like crack. Get one and you'll be calling her in the middle of the night begging for your next appointment. Most people never get the opportunity to have stylist of this level work on their hair. She visions it and makes it happen. It's the type of thing you didn't realize you were missing until she did it, and you're like, "my hair does that!?!" That's probably why visiting rock stars want to work with her.

I received several unsolicited compliments from friends after Erica trimmed up my overgrown locks into a better looking, more manageable cut last week. I feel I can trust her sense of style and her expertise. Definitely recommend.

Third Space salon is my go-to place for a perfect haircut. Every. Time. Owner-operator Erica Rae is a pro with decades of experience, yet remains down to earth, warm, and witty. She's consistently applied artistry with precision to the myriad styles I've requested over the years, and she intuitively knows how to cut in a manner that's face-flattering. The time flies by when I'm in her chair, and I always leave with an extra bounce in my step. Bonus: Erica's cuts grow out beautifully, so if I'm traveling and need to stretch an extra week or two between salon visits, it's all good thanks to Erica's expertise. Brava!

I've visited Third Place Salon a couple of times now for a haircut since my hairstylist, Jennifer Lorence, moved here, and it's become a favorite spot for me. The salon is located in a cute converted old house, adding to its charm. I appreciate that there's always a spot available in the small parking lot behind the salon. The atmosphere inside is lovely, with nice decor that creates a cozy and inviting feel. I especially enjoy the quietness of the salon first thing in the morning. It's a great place to relax and get pampered."

I went in on Friday for the first time and received a haircut from Jessica. Had a great experience from start to finish and really appreciated that she took the time to hear my goals and followed through. I’m always a little nervous when I’m seeing someone new but she made me feel so comfortable. Looking forward to seeing her again for my next cut!

Lexi Power is the BEST with BLONDES!! I have been seeing her for years now and I have never once been disappointed. She is super laid back and friendly and did a fantastic job styling my hair along with all my bridesmaids and flower girls — everyone looked great! I booked a blow out appointment with Jessica a week ago through class pass, and she cancelled my appt last minute. This was a blowout for my baby shower and couldn’t find any other salon on a Friday to take my appt. Super unprofessional.Service: Blowouts
