Extremely happy with the work that was done on my Orange Bass amp. Adrian and crew addressed the problems and made some improvements to make the amp more road worthy. Their knowledge and pride of work is refreshing in the current world we live in. Will be my go to for any amp repair work in the future. Thanks again guys!!!

This IS the premiere amp and pedal repair shop in Austin, IMO. I will not take my gear anywhere else unless I cannot get here. Adrian has worked on three of my amps and fixed a vintage pedal all in record time. He fixed a major, major screw up from another nearby tech that almost destroyed a good amp, and got it back up in running "like new". He later assisted me with technical info, ideas, and reviewed my work, without request for compensation, when I built a Mojotone 5F2a clone. And, he freshened up a boutique amp that I had for sale before I shipped it out.Adrian is an electronics wizard and worth every penny. Further, he is one of the nicest techs you will ever have the privilege to meet. Stop in an hang out. Get stuff fixed. Buy a speaker or pedal. Bring some beer at closing time.

Great amp shop! I brought my old workhorse Twin Reverb, and my favorite analog delay pedal in for servicing, and couldn’t be more pleased with the service. Adrian worked wonders, and both are back to fully functional, and sounding great. He’s clearly knowledgeable about his business, and friendly as well. Will highly recommend this shop.

Excellent shop. Fixed up my blues jr that was red plating and also had a few other issues I didn’t know about for a great price. Definitely recommend this place if you’re having amp issues

I took in an older Eden bass amp that had a lot of issues and I wasn't even sure it was repairable. They had to do quite a bit to it to get it up and running but now it sounds about as close to new as it could get. I was very impressed and this will be where I go for any future amp repair needs!

I took my Fender Vibroverb to Adrian after another repair shop mis-diagnosed high frequency buzzing that was apparent even at low volumes.Adrian quickly figured out the issue and the amp is finally sounding as well as it should. He gave me excellent advice on some rare vintage tubes in my possession and fixed a Jensen speaker for me on the spot.I really love walking into the shop and seeing all the amps on show and the guitars on the wall. Top service, top quality repair. Tone/IO is now my go-to shop for amp and pedal repair.

Absolutely excellent!!! One of the very few amp techs in Texas w/ the knowledge and experience to take on my Randall V2 hybrid due to its complex design after my local tech decided it was more complicated than he was comfortable trying to deal with. Adrian didn’t bat an eye. And after calling to say his other tech had it ready he went back himself and ran it at its full 400 watt potential really cranked and discovered another issue and fixed it and contacted me to inform me about it. Thorough upfront honest service. Immaculate small but fully stocked and professional shop. If you need repair or maintenance work done on your amp I urge you to do yourself a tremendous favor and call Tone I/O

These guys are awesome. They solved an output problem I was having with my Ceriatone 100 watt AJ spec in just one day and made my DIY project look truly professional. Great guys who know their craft. Fair pricing, great overall customer experience.

Adrian is the best in Austin!!!! Been sending customers his way for years and only hear praises. He’s also a Weber speaker, JHS, Wampler, and Friedman pedal dealer. He’s gone through most of my amps pictured.

Came to buy a tube, thinking I had a bad tube and that was what was causing rattling from amp. Owner immediately said “it’s not the tube”.So I bring amp in and only other worker is there …and I pay $75 bench fee and $100 to have amp put in front of line so I don’t have to wait 4 weeks for service completion. No one notifies me when I amp is “ready”. I find out by calling in myself. I get there and they’ve changed all the tubes for which they attempt to charge me ….that’s 75+100+180 for new tubes!! And my amp is still making the same noises / none of the issues for which I brought the amp in for got fixed. This is a combo amp, problem whole time seems to be self noise from inside the unreachable guts of the amp, which the owner now says to me….. So instead of notifying me that they couldn’t fix issue from the start. And I was very clear that this is thee only thing my I wanted fixed, there was nothing wrong with the tubes…..they attempt to charge me a bunch of money for ….what? They then told me “your tubes were old” saying that was their reason for changing them. Tubes were all functioning just fine. I was refunded the $100 after being told no the first time, and continuing to ask. Should’ve been refunded entire amount. Very dishonest business practice, and in my opinion tried to rip me off, felt like going to a shady mechanic.- in response to owners response, I didn’t ask for new tubes, I asked if you could fix the amp self noise…I come to pick it up, and the amp has the same issue wrong with it for which I brought it in…and I’m asked to pay $325, not cool. You should’ve been honest from the start and told me that the issue was unfixable.

swapped a couple 12ax7s out for me, paid less than retail for the 12ax7s at his shop and he only charged me for 15 minutes of labor, and did it for me right there on the spot. very cool of him, will be back!!

The best. They allowed me to pay the bench fee up front so my amp was "in line" for repair without me being without out it for 3-4 weeks. When it was my turn the turnaround was a day, my amp is more of a tone beast than it was before. Fair pricing, friendly and thorough. Highly recommended.
