Ordered a hitch receiver weeks ago. Show up for my appointment and it was never ordered by the store. Entire weekend plans ruined by their inability to function.

Exceedingly disorganized, we returned the rented trailer to an alternate U-Haul location, yet they persist in contacting us to inquire about the trailer despite our prior confirmation. A staff member even stated that we need to return it to their location or incur triple charges, which is not feasible given our initial intention to drop it off elsewhere note: this is a one way trip.
To optimize efficiency, consider visiting alternative locations. We even visited the U-Haul where we dropped off the trailer, and they contacted the disorganized U-Haul, inquiring if returning the trailer to that location would be more convenient, to which they agreed. This U-Haul location caused us undue hardship.

Very little. Climate control worked 1/4 of the time, above 65 it sounded like wood bowls banging together in the dash, no cruise control, had to replace the wiper blades on the first day.

Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. Very unprofessional, so many issues with my order that they were not able to help me with. They we’re out of dollies, even though I reserved one online and they tried to argue with me about it amongst literally every issue that I had. The list goes on and on. This place is absolute trash, and the people working there were worse.

Hard to overstate how bad this place is. They rented me a towing dolly which they later accidentally admitted they knew was reported as defective, and within a couple miles the right tire started smoking with chunks of rubber peeling off. When I returned to the location for help, they told me to call roadside assistance... from the uhaul parking lot. They refused to rent me a different dolly and suggested I try my luck at another Uhaul location. I asked inside if they could at least help me get my car off the dolly, they told me to ask the guy working outside. The guy said no, do it yourself!
Totally useless people working here, they will rent you something they know is broken just to get you out of the store, then refuse to lift a finger to help once you realize the scam. They endangered my property and my life knowing I would be driving 800 miles on this equipment. They could not possibly care less. When roadside assistance arrived the technician audibly gasped seeing the state of the dolly these people had rented me. Avoid at all costs!

Take the biometrics off of the pick-up process. It is a violation of our rights.

Would give it no stars if I could. I reserved a car towing dolly through the app so that I could ensure one was available. Went in to pick it up and they said they didn’t have any available even though I saw one sitting in their parking lot. Young kid sent me to a UHaul across the highway which the nice gentleman there explained that they don’t carry those at his location which makes sense because it’s just a storage facility. The gentleman mentioned he had other customers sent over for stuff he doesn’t carry and apologized. He did offer to check other facilities but by that point I didn’t want to mess with it anymore. The kids were nice but they really don’t know what they’re doing. Won’t be using U-Haul for anything for a while.

Absolutely horrible experience. Booked a truck and trailer to tow my car to travel cross country so I needed the timing of my reservation to work out as planned. On the day of pick up, they told me the truck was not actually not available for another four days and that there were none available. It wasn’t until the general manager came to help that they found finally found a truck at a U-Haul drop off nearby. They also tried to tell me I couldn’t pick up the trailer after loading my truck separately even though I had called in advance to confirm that was possible. Once again, wasn’t until general manager helped that he said I could in fact pick up the trailer after packing up my truck. Shout out to Jorge. But get this! They cancelled my trailer reservation without my knowledge and after confirming that the reservation was still standing when I was in the store. And when I tried to make a new reservation the day of my move because I needed the trailer right then and was anticipating it to be ready early in the morning before a thirteen hour drive, the quote of the rental price was over $300 than what I originally paid. Wasn’t until I called general customer service that they told me ‘scheduling’ cancelled my reservation. Had to go through multiple phone call transfers before I could get someone to quote the original price I was given. Now, I’ll be on the road several hours after I needed to be because the new trailer rental is at a different and further location, and not available until 11 this morning. Literal nightmare! Can’t wait to unload the truck when I finally get to my destination so I can get these rentals off my hands and try to forget this hellacious experience ever happened.

U-Haul should have a protocol in place to make sure faulty and unsafe equipment is not rented to customers. First, the folks at this location tried to give me a truck with a full crack in the tire. I brought it to their attention and they agreed that was not safe to rent and offered me another truck instead. After driving away, and filling the truck with our belongings, I realized there were nails in both front tires, and one of the tires was completely bald on the inside (fine on the outside). The alignment was so bad on the front wheels it was clearly visible by looking at it, and I was blown away that the tires had worn so unevenly. I had to call roadside assistance and it delayed our move by over 4 hours (a tough pill to swallow when I still had 8 hours to drive that day).
This is an issue that should have been dealt with prior to renting. Leaving customers to deal with basic maintenance on their time is an unacceptable practice. They offered me a $100 refund which was not nearly enough on a $1300 rental. I was clear that this was not enough and their customer service department has ghosted me.
Do yourself a favor and avoid using U-haul for your moving needs as there is no guarantee that you will have safe equipment or that it has even been looked over by a U-Haul employee prior to you renting it.
2 stars instead of 1 because the employees at this location were kind. They were pretty clearly understaffed, but one employee took the time to help me adjust my passenger side mirror even though I believe she was leaving for the day or leaving for lunch.

Communication needs to be improved. Customers should be told to come in 30 minutes prior to pick up because the check out process takes a long time and counts towards your rental time. I rented a truck for 4 hours at 19.99 and ended up paying 131. Lots of hidden costs that were not explained. When I called to discuss, I was told to be sure to read the fine print in the contract.

Had a call with Johnathon to help me install a last minute hitch in the car. His customer service was phenomenal.

Showed up and they didn’t have my truck. Didn’t bother trying to call me ahead of time or trying to find a new one until I showed up. Ended up finding one way out of town. Real pain especially when trying to move.

I've rented three times at this location. Every time the ladies in the office have been fabulous. IMO moving across country is no fun at all - so it's really great to rent equipment with excellent customer service. Yesterday Amy was so helpful I finally decided write a review! Ladies- thanks so much for always making me laugh and making the rental experience a breeze.

Ray is the most useless, lazy, rude person employed at UHaul. Instead of being helpful, he consistently repeats himself with "Caint help dat" .... until you literally want to smack him. If it were up to me, he would be at the unemployment office long before today. If you have a reservation at this location, better to call ahead and ask them to use their eyes to make sure the equipment is there, and not just depend on what their computer states. If you don't call ahead, caint help dat....If renting a car tow, I'd recommend asking the person hooking it up, if it's actually there, if they know what they are doing. The undercarriage of my car was damaged in excess of $1000 due to faulty ramps and also had a flat tire that could easily have caused a multitude of various problems, thankfully did not. I called to ask for the Regional Manager to call me about Ray and the faulty equipment, but of course, no call - Caint help dat !
