“What a cool shop! I did not catch his name but there was a younger African American gentleman that was sooo sweet and just personable. The vibes and music are immaculate. Fur coat selection out of this world. The way everything is decorated and organized makes it so easy to shop. Had such a fun time shopping in there and chatting up with other friendly shoppers. HIGHLY recommend this as a stop if you’re doing a thrift shopping day. There are also other thrift stores next door too so it’s a great location.”

“What an amazing experience! Excellent customer service and lovely people! High quality clean vintage furniture at a fair price. I am in love with my Nathan dining table and chairs from the 1960s. Impeccable.”

“The best vintage place in all of Austin. Prices are unbeatable. And the selection is the best. Going around to vintage stores you tend to see the same stuff. Not here! They have unique and well curated items!! Always impressed.”

“Real deal Austin vintage here! Just as much men’s stuff as women’s. Range of decades, western snaps, soft worn in tees, outerwear, boho dresses, cowboy boots, and primo vintage belts and buckles!”

“I appreciate my cashier with the curly black/blonde hair being incredibly patient with me when my card decided I couldn't purchase my items/mind changes/a lot of people around the stress of the holidays. Used a different card, but still, it can be nerve racking. I have left a review before, but wanted to say here I was so thankful for them on the Saturday before Christmas. This time of year can be a very trying time, it's nice that they were adaptable. Honorable mention to the buyer that states my name loud enough so I can hear, which is also very appreciated. 10 out of 5 stars. Thank yall and happy holidays&new year!”

“This little antique store packs so much in it that you need to set aside a good chunk of time to really experience it all. It also is deceptively larger than it looks. I picked up one or two little gems and I'll definitely be coming back with friends in the future.”

“One of my very favorite places in Austin! I rarely leave without some little treasure. It's a great spot for a more personalized and thoughtful gift. I have found some of the coolest art here! The staff is so nice and helpful - always greeting you when you walk in. If you buy more than one item you are usually walking out with a deal!”

“store was clean and clothes were nicely sorted by size and color. clerk was friendly and welcoming. prices varied, but were solid - $10-$20 for vintage and used tees, shirts and hoodies/sweatshirts.”

“This place is cute and the service was friendly. They have some great toys and very cute clothes. The prices are good, the brands and clothing quality is exceptional. I’m sure they would never take any of the clothing items we have after we’re through with them.”

“I regularly drive in from out of town to see what Michael has at Second Looks. If I need a suit or coat, or just want to look at shirts or pants, I always check here first. The selection and quality are always AMAZING. My 23 y/o daughter loves to come with me because she always finds “vintage” sporting attire. ? But the best thing about stopping in? That would be the stories and conversation with Michael. When he’s in the shop it’s always the best part of my day.The highest quality menswear from the highest quality man.”

“I just recently visited this store. If you are consigning, It's best to call first as they will give you an appointment and don't do consigning after 1:30 P.M., I think. I consigned 2 dresses, with cleaning receipts. The staff was very friendly and were excited to consign with me. The consignment expires after 3 months. I've consigned with them before, but that was before the pandemic.Baubles & Beads has a wonderful collection and I usually find something I like. I especially love their cocktail dresses. Their prices are very reasonable. I've been going there for the past 10 years.”

“Very original vintage options available here. One of a kind pieces, items that are hard to find anywhere else. Lady at the shop was very friendly and told us about a lot of their items. Only downside is it quite costly. I imagine because it is all vintage but don’t expect to find any bargains. Lots of the pieces are priced $40 on up. But if you don’t have a budget, you’ll love it. So many, many cute pieces no one will be wearing but you. I would suggest to stop in.”

“We have been going to revival when it was at the original spot in North Loop. Sonia is amazing and her shop is perfectly curated! She has some of the best dealers in the area showcasing the very best in MCM furniture, decor and vintage clothing! She was an inspiration for us to embark on our journey and I can’t thank her enough for it!”

“Cute store with interesting items and helpful staff! For a second hand vintage shop, the prices could’ve been a bit lower, and that’s why I am docking a star.”

“We could have spent all day in this small shop!! The owner and staff were super cool to talk to while we shopped. It was neat to see the various clothing from different times and try things on that we would wear today. There was a nice selection of jewelry and accessories as well. Everything was reasonably priced. I'd recommend coming here if you like unique things and want to find some cool pieces for your wardrobe.”

“I bought some very nice things at the Riverplace Goodwill the other day. The people working there, Michael and Kristin were very helpful and informative. Michael cleaned off my items very well and Kristin helped me carry them to the car. That is old fashioned service and I appreciate it. Thank you all again!”

“I wasn't very familiar with this store until I started consigning items earlier this year. The volunteers have always been helpful and kind during the consignment process, which is only certain days of the week and during certain hours. They occasionally take a week or 2 off from accepting consignments in order to give volunteers a break. It's a good idea to familiarize yourself with which items are accepted and which ones are not. Most of the pertinent info is available on their website or social media. The scene in the consignment room can seem chaotic, but the many volunteers keep things flowing smoothly. Questions (when I've had them) have been answered by knowledgeable staff and the management team. I can't emphasize enough how kind and patient the volunteers have been during consignment or when purchasing from the shop. This place is run almost entirely by volunteers, which is rather phenomenal to me. It's always fun to take a stroll through the large showroom after dropping off consignment items.”

“Never Knew is one of my favorite places for vintage everything - they’ve always got new stock dropping, they’re so accommodating when it comes to holding items or shipping them to you at an affordable price, and their prices in general are always fair. ? Love the shop and have always enjoyed my interactions with staff in store or online!!”

“Wow. So many gems! Huge selection. Curated by a pro. And the music while I shopped was one jam after another. I felt like I was in a movie montage in the dressing room. OH! And don’t miss the kids section!”

“this is my fav vintage store in Austin. I come every time I’m in town and always leave with several items. I think the pricing is fair for the quality of the clothes. it isn’t as cheap as some vintage spots, but there’s so many super unique, beautiful pieces so you don’t have to do as much disappointing dogging. the staff has always been very kind and cool, thank you!”

“In a sea of boot shops, Noah Marion stands out from the rest of the stores on SoCo (I mean, just look at the colorful art and accessories they have!).

Their leather goods are made in Austin, about a mile away on South Lamar. Bags, wallets, belts, home goods…you name it. Noah has made it. They also have fun cards and clothing, perfect for a quick gift if you’re looking for truly unique and handmade pieces. When friends and fam visit I’m always sure to make a stop by Noah’s shop.

Oh, and they’re dog friendly!”

“It was a good enough first-time experience for me to stop lurking here on Yelp and actually review someplace, so yeah, five stars. I went into Ermine for my first time today wearing a favorite leather jacket, thinking I could get some hands-on expert advice on leather care, zipper repair, and also do a bit of browsing. EJ was super helpful and generous with his advice: I'll have to keep an eye out for a decent tailor that's somehow surviving the Zoom-and-sweatpants era and eventually pick up some mink oil. The parking situation in that whole strip is a bit annoying. It was busy enough that I felt lucky even getting a spot, but only after I pulled in did I see that each little shop in the building has its own partitioned/reserved spots, so I would have to back out again and park around the block someplace... or risk keeping my car in front of their neighbors, due to close just 30 minutes after I pulled in. I figured it'd be worth the risk if I kept my visit brief. Once inside, the available selection of men's clothing exceeded my expectations of what I thought I'd find in such a cozy shop, and everything seemed to be in great condition. This is not your mom's "mold and mothballs" thrift store experience. When I was browsing, EJ kept at a perfect "customer service distance", balancing privacy with convenience; I didn't have any trouble getting him to answer questions, open the jewelry case, or check me out. He mentioned that Ermine's dressing rooms are open now, but I didn't get to take advantage of that this time around. The prices were astonishingly reasonable for the location. I had to fight (and am still fighting) the urge to snap up a beautiful pair of Florsheim wing-tips in just my size. I *really* hadn't expected to buy jewelry at all--I held my breath when I turned over a very sparkly snail to look at its price and gave a sigh of relief when the tag revealed that the charming bauble was, in fact, something I could pick up on a whim as a thank-you gift for a friend, who'd otherwise have gotten yet another bottle of wine. I couldn't resist. I'll definitely be going back. Ermine seems to be a great spot for me to keep an eye out for a pair of decent cowboy boots in my size, priced such that I could actually afford them. It'll be nice to take another less-hurried look at everything else, too.”

“I don't understand all the negative reviews. The workers are great and they have a huge selection of antiques. Yes, they may be a little more expensive but this is Austin and the rent obviously will be a little higher than a store in a small town.”

“I believe it's the most underrated second-hand store in the country. You can walk out of that place looking like a conscious fashionista. It's a great place. The customer service is impeccable. Look at the fanny pack I got for a few bucks. That's not a bad find.”

“This is a cool store to shop, that you definitely can find a gem or two, every so often. This store, like most stores is flooded with re-sellers and you will see as soon as something comes out, people attacking it aggressively, but that's become common at the thrift stores I've visited in the area. The only odd thing about this store, is that they actually allow one of the re-sellers to put out the clothes for them and allow him to pick through it as he does it and throw it in his cart. I've honestly never seen that at any store before, but it made me no longer donate higher end clothes to Salvation Army. I always thought the fun of a thrift store was that everyone has an equal shot at finding something awesome. The prices here have gone up over the years I've stopped by and in some cases are in line with their main competitor, but I think that's just the nature of the business. This store always seems to have awesome employees and is generally clean and well organized, but it can look like a bomb went off after a sale day. If you haven't been to one of these stores before, keep in mind, they do staple price tags through the clothing, so keep in mind you may have holes in a weird spot, since it's usually stapled on the clothes and not on the wash tag, like a lot of other places do. This place has an awesome selection of furniture and pictures, that seems to rotate regularly. They are a little bit light on the electronics, toys, and books, but you should still be able to find a thing or two that will make it worthwhile when you make your way there!”
