I wanna first start off my review with the good things which is the app. It's a lot more convenient than any of the employees.
I'm from Austin and growing up my dad used velocity which is why I chose them as an adult.... it's rare to talk to anyone who has complete knowledge of any department let alone good customer service. Just had major surgery, a death in the family, or major life
inconvenience....they make you feel like a problem regardless of your circumstances. Good luck getting notified about anything past due or having any sympathy until it’s too late. They definitely make it clear they don't care about their customers or quality of work and are just there for a paycheck.
Promise to pay forget about it they'll take it out before..even with verbal contract and will refuse to send you any confirmation. Wanna talk to the same person.. that'll never happen again enjoy talking to multiple different people from different branches/locations. If you're trying to build your credit, opening a bank account or care about customer service pick another bank.

We opened a savings and checking account for my 16 year old son today and Fran provided outstanding service! She shared great financial advice and some fun antidotes about life lessons around money matters. She should teach a class on budgeting and financial planning. I would definitely send my son…I would benefit too! Thank you for your help today! I am always pleased with Velocity and the customer focused services.

I had a great experience today with Fran at my bank. She heard my concerns and listened to my issues and took charge. She also didn't act rushed or put out by the time that was needed to fix my issues. It was wonderful to see the customer care returning to our industries that are much needed after the pandemic. THE WORST bank i've ever used. customer service is absolutely nonexistant, so if they lock your card and your account without notice for no reason, you'll be stuck on the phone at HEB while the employees suspend your transaction because your CARD doesn't work. even DURING banking hours you will sit on the phone for a heinous amount of time trying to talk to anyone who isn't a robot.i'm honestly more angry at myself for not switching banks sooner. they charged me every month for MONTHS for a "mail return fee" -NO idea what that is or why; no one at the branch even knew. just literally the worst bank. save yourself the trouble and go to UFCU. velocity is trash.

I went to the Brodie Oaks location to have a benefit form filled out. I was helped by Fran whom was very friendly, empathetic, and an absolute pleasure to chat with. Fran made me feel at home and was very patient in getting all the details to fill out my form.Thanks Fran and all the staff at the Brodie Oaks Velocity CU!!!!!!
