“I cannot recommend this vet enough. They are so thoughtful and kind to my dog that has a lot of vet anxiety. Their prices are also incredibly reasonable. I think the main selling point to me is how clearly they all truly care about the pets. My dog went in for a teeth cleaning recently and I was so nervous to drop him off and for them to use anesthesia on him, but the staff was so kind and they provided updates throughout the day. I was also able to pick him up around 1:30 so he didn’t have to stay all day. I’m so happy I was able to find such a great vet, and I’d recommend them to anyone!!”

“Dr. Rivera and the staff here have been wonderful with my dog’s acupuncture sessions. They always do their best to make sure my anxious 12 year old dog is as comfortable as possible. I thought Pippin would be too scared to get acupuncture but he’s been doing great with his weekly sessions for the past 2-3 months.”

“We just had appointments with our two very senior boy cats. We asked that the older of the two cross the Rainbow bridge since his quality of life was no longer good. Both cats were handled with care and the older cat was euthanized very gently and compassionately. We have been bringing out cats here for over 20 years now and have always been treated well.”

“I can't thank Southwest Vet enough for their incredible help on Monday morning. My dog was experiencing a terrifying bowel obstruction emergency, and they were willing to change their schedules and find a spot for him. From the moment I called, their staff was compassionate and efficient. They got us in immediately, and the veterinary team was absolutely fantastic.
They explained the treatment options clearly, and provided top-notch care to my furry kid. Throughout the whole ordeal, they were reassuring and supportive, which made a stressful situation so much more bearable. From the front desk to the exam rooms, the staff and veterinarians are patient, attentive, and genuinely listen. Cooper is always treated as if he were one of their own, and that level of care is felt every single visit.
Every experience we’ve had here has been exceptional. Dr. Tinnanof, in particular, clearly cares deeply about her patients. Cooper genuinely loves coming to the clinic and is always excited to see her, which says everything. You know you’ve found an outstanding veterinarian when they take time out of an incredibly busy schedule to personally follow up — that kind of dedication is rare and meaningful.
All of the veterinarians go above and beyond, as does the entire staff. The facility is clean, well-run, and welcoming, and the pricing is fair and reasonable. We feel incredibly lucky to have such a trustworthy, high-quality clinic so close to home — one where we know the right thing will always be done for the patient.
Our most recent visit with Dr. Wagner was also exceptional. She immediately connected with my crazy boy Cooper and handled him with such warmth and confidence. It’s comforting to know that no matter who we see, Cooper is always in excellent hands.

“Brought my cat Killian in for a check up. He needs steroids for allergies etc. He needs to take half a pill. They literally halved the pills for me. Had no idea until I opened it for first dose. Phenomenal. Huge fan.”

“I love the care and the staff at North Austin Animal Hospital. They have been my care team for many years for all my pets at very life stage and care need. It is also important to me that the clinic is staffed primarily by women doctors up to and including Dr. Heppner, the chief of staff. She is my go to but I will happily and comfortably see any doctor there as they are all outstanding and work together to provide comprehensive coordinated care for your animal family members of pretty much any species.”

“Dr Rob has taken care of my cat's teeth for the last 5 years. She had 6 teeth removed in the years before we adopted her, but since Dr Rob started cleaning her teeth she has had no teeth removed. His office is a bit of a drive for me, but I would not take her to anyone else. Dr Rob is an excellent vet and I highly recommend him.”

“Really appreciated my visit with Dr. G! My dog has had health issues since we got him, so in the last 3 years, I’ve learned a lot on how to manage his issues. By the time we switched services to T&C, we’d already tried everything. Even so, I still learned a few new things from Dr. G, got great advice on other things to try, and I loved how she didn’t rush through our appointment. She also suggested advanced next steps but was quick to tell me we aren’t there yet. That helps me as a pet parent plan for what might be to come in the next few years.
Also, as a pet parent with a dog that needs to be on consistent (expensive!) prescription medication, I also appreciated them suggesting ways I can save money on his pills. That’s not something a vet and vet tech usually tell me unless I specifically ask.
