Manager Nikki and staff are my heroes! I left my debit card in cash machine after making a deposit. (It obviously didn't make me take out card first). It was turned in and was locked up safely in office. I'm so thankful that I didn't have to go through the mess of canceling my card. Very friendly staff and most importantly, they actually answer the phone and everyone is aware of procedures in place.

Went there straight from the clinic down the road and they already had my prescriptions ready. One cost $500 and the pharmacist looked up a program on her own to help me get a discount and ended up making calls for me and I got the whole thing 100% off. Everyone was super helpful and nice when I obviously wasn’t feeling well. It’s a thankless job cause the pharmacists don’t set the prices but they get the hate for it. I’ll be happy to make this my regular pharmacy.

The pharmacy team needs an overhaul. They’re too focused on proving the customer wrong and the refusal to take accountability for their ineptitude is appalling. When I asked to speak with a manager the pharmacist Ashley informed me that there was no store manager currently on staff and that the pharmacy manager would not be back for at least 5 days. It sounded as though she took pleasure in delivering both of these details as she continued to show zero empathy for the fact that two sick children would not be able to receive care due to an error made by their staff. Here we are going into a weekend with no courtesy shown and told to come back with a new script due to the error made by their staff. We will in fact get that script but will be taking it across the street to HEB. Do yourself a favor and AVOID THIS PHARMACY!

The staffers at this Walgreens pharmacy (5819 Burnet, Austin, TX) are always friendly, but they're continually confused. My doctors call in prescriptions; Walgreens has no record of them. The pharmacy people tell me a prescription will be ready the next morning; it never is. An unreliable pharmacy does not foster customer loyalty. I believe the problems stem from short-staffing and general ineptitude of management. I have used Walgreens for years, and I hate to change, but I may have to. Health problems are difficult enough to deal without adding problem-ridden prescription issues.

Regarding the pharmacy:
My latest experience with getting a prescription was abysmal. I had a prescription sent to this pharmacy the Friday before Memorial Day weekend. Because of the fairly short notice, I didn’t expect to have it prepared immediately, and the next opportunity I had to check on it was Sunday. When I dropped by, I was told that it would not be ready until Tuesday, as they told me that it would need to be shipped in. I understood the situation and granted them some grace, because, thankfully, it wasn’t so critical that it couldn’t wait. By end of day Tuesday, I had not yet received a notification about my medication being ready for pickup, so I called on Wednesday asking about when I can expect it to finally be ready. The only information I was given is that there are about 2 locations 20-30 miles away that MIGHT have it in stock, and because picking it up wouldn’t be feasible for me, the person I spoke with checked the system again, only to tell me that they would actually never get it in stock, so I should look elsewhere.
I wasted DAYS expecting it to come in, as I was promised it would beforehand, yet I wasn’t notified that it wouldn’t ever come in, which I would not have been informed of had I not called myself. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Had this been more time-sensitive, the consequences could have been much more severe. Highly advise against using Walgreens.

i have worked at Walgreens from the front reg to the photo lab to pharmacy tech and I have never treated any of my customers the way this older lady at the register treated me today. from the start her attitude of greeting customers all the way from the photo lab with her hand propping up her head and the worst welcome to walgreens greeting I have ever heard. she started to give me attitude due to my partner not having his current photo id with him so she denied him for a purchase of cigarettes and he's 44..I completely understand she has that right to refuse any sale but me a brand new customer with a current valid id you'd think she would want the sale. she was rude and when I asked to speak to the mgr she continued to talk about the situation to the next customer as I was walking away with the mgr. what kind of customer service is this bad mouthing paying customers is this Walgreens new thing? not in any of my training classes when I worked there. i hope she has a better day and that the mgr actually does sit her down and coach her on customer service because her skills are lacking

The pharmacy tech person who is always posted at the in-store register is just the rudest person every time I interact with her. The pharmacy is always out of my medication, too. Terrible company, terrible store location.

I wouldn't normally leave a review for somewhere like Walgreens but I'm fed up with being made to feel like an unwelcome annoyance every time I come it to get medicine for my kids or do a FedEx return. Compared to the equivalent at HEB or UPS everything takes longer, costs more and comes with a load of attitude
