Despite confirming pick up of an RX and receiving text notification they'd hold it until XX day they will not hold the RX for you. Happened a few times and it's very annoying especially if they don't have it in stock and you have to return.

My dog is sick and we were told to give her canned food and activated charcoal. I sent my husband to get a can opener and some charcoal pills from walgreens. Well they didn't have any can openers so he had to make a second trip to HEB and found charcoal pills for $7 compared to $23 at the Walgreens. He brought the charcoal back to this walgreens within 15 minutes of buying and was told that he could not return it because the cashier was "pretty sure" she asked if he wanted a receipt. He was also denied store credit because the store lead was busy. I understand convenience fees but selling the same product for a 3x up charge from the grocery store is crazy. Also not very convenient if you don't have basic home needs.

They told me my insurance doesn't cover my medication so I had to pay $180. Come to find out they just didn't run the insurance, and the pharmacist acted like it was no big deal. The people that work there could use some more training and work on customer service. I transferred all my prescriptions because thats not ok to do to your customers. I wonder how many other people that they have done that to.

I’ve used this pharmacy for more years than I care to mention and have never had a bad experience with anyone or anything.
Having to go to the pharmacy and wait on a prescription, especially when you’re sick, is not what I’d call fun, however, every member of staff I’ve ever encountered, has been amazing, helpful friendly, willing to help and knowledgeable.
I appreciate this and know that’s it’s not always easy to put on a happy face for everyone, but this store has a fantastic group of humans working in it!!

Jenny, one of the pharmacists, is amazing (the rest of the team seem great too)!
I just switched to Walgreens from a local pharmacy to make it easier to get my medications in other locations if needed.
I was worried that I wouldn't get the same kind of warmth and care that I had come to expect, but Jenny squashed those worries QUICKLY.
Not only is just kind and funny, she easily updated my information in the system that didn't transfer over (especially a prescription copay card that saves me $300 per month).
Couldn't be happier with my switch! Thanks Jenny!

So, I finally finish my overnight shift and as I am headed back home to Canyon Lake I have a female emergency or one might call a flood, the pharmacy employee informed me with a smile bathroom's are closed they are always closed, I told her excuse me??? She says because of the town we live in..uh south Austin. The Hell I have never been so irritated with a waste of human being before this. People need to do better I guess I just get to drive an hour then maybe I can deal with my problem thank you Walgreens! I will stick with CVS from here on out.

Amazing staff at the pharmacy, friendly, polite, and prompt. My favorite Walgreens pharmacy location in south Austin! I appreciate how clean this location is too, compared to others.

My experience at Walgreens Slaughter and Congress ave in Austin far exceeded my expectations. Dominga deserves highest praise for assisting me with a party banner for a 100 year olds birthday party. The kiosk was difficult with the format as was the online order. She carefully and kindly assisted until the job was completed. She never lost focus or her customer service with us or others in the store. She’s the reason we will be back. Thank You!

I usually only go to this store to get my prescription filled and there is always a wait. Even when there's not a line and they have called to say my prescription is ready for pickup. It's alright as far as convenience goes but even the drive through is slow. Not sure if they're always training a new clerk or the pharmacist is slowing things up. I just know I'll be there 30 minutes to pick it up. The rest of the store is just like all the other Walgreens. They have all the toiletries and vitamins and OTC meds you'd expect. Convenient location too.
