Worse vet experience ever. The receptionist and veterinarian were extremely judgmental, cold and condescending. Both of them had terrible bedside manner. After, I disagreed with some of the Medications such as Antibiotics that he didn’t need because his fecal test was Negative and probiotics, but I already purchased some of my own. They were extremely rude after I declined it. I had also asked about a holistic diet, but I was given a lot of judgment for feeding him raw food instead of education. I was informed that he was healthy and that he needed to put on some weight which was great. Although, When I asked if he was 100% clear and exam notes the vet said that she would write them for me. However, the receptionist was extremely rude and hostile and stated that my puppy was not at 100% health which was the opposite information the vet told me. I asked if I could speak to the vet again to confirm that information and asked them to make the exam notes more legible for the reader. Both of them acted as if this was an issue. I will not be returning to this clinic.

We adopted a female stray and needed her to be checked out, chipped and spayed as soon as possible. Dr. Wadhwani's staff was so kind and got us in quickly. Dr. Wadhwani was very knowledgeable and put us at ease- this is our first girl dog. The surgery went well, beautiful stitches, and the dog is doing great. Prices were more than reasonable. Dr. Wadhwani did the necessary bloodwork to do the best job, but didn't add on extra unnecessary stuff. Really appreciate that! I would definitely recommend the clinic for a good no frills solid experience with an experienced vet!

I wouldn't take my fur-babies anywhere else!! The staff is do caring and compassionate. I called them at 5:15 panicking because my furbaby was sick. They got me in within the hour!! I can tell the Doctor is very passionate about his work. And on top of all that that are super affordable!! Thanks guys!! Keep up the good work!!

Have been taking my 3 cats; Booker T, Rosco, and Charly (female) here for a year now. This clinic basically took me (won is the better word) away from a different clinic that didn't measure up to this one.
Dr Patel is, as far as I'm concerned, a Genius, with my cats, who all three think that I had relations with their mothers ???, they think I'm their Dad.
The entire staff; Julie Ann, Debbie, Laura, Zowie, and the rest...are Super! They are very helpful and sincere.
Dr Patel has never failed to call me, to answer any concerns or questions I have. As long as I live in this area, I will be always take my "kids" to this clinic. In fact, I'm even contemplating NOT EVER relocating, just because of this clinic. I consider this clinic to be a vital part of my infrastructure.
And it certainly doesn't hurt, that their office visit charge is relatively cheap. Plus, once you become established as a regular client, they are cooperative in carrying a balance over until next payday. Most clinics won't work with you like that.

I have been going with Dr.P,and Dr M with my wife starting 2008-2018 both Dr's have always been professional @ South Branch Pet, and Bird. They have always been caring, understanding, and care about there pets they treat. Shots, Spayed, and neutering. Also when they are sick. Most vets don't stay open 7 days a week, have coupons, and try to work with you to make it as affordable as they can. They have been taking care of our dogs for 10 years. Go to any other vets, there not open 7 days a week, they don't have coupons, there not affordable, and will not work with you to help make more affordable for you. It is so sad to see the complaints that has been posted which is so sad. They quality of care is great, the Dr's are wonderful, and the staff. I do not work for them. I am a client of there's. I have moved out of Austin, and moved to Bastrop. The Dr's visits are $40.00, and you get a coupon of only $10.00, the staff not friendly, and I have seen most people walk out the door paying minimum of $200.00, and up to 700.00 most of the time when I have taken our pets, and no follow-ups to see how your pets are doing. Also to see a Dr. over here it at minimum it takes a week to see a vet. All of you that have been complaining, and say you will never go back you have because I have seen you. If you are not happy come to Bastrop after you will come running back to South Branch Pet, and Bird. Which I am glad to come back to them, and always will. You can go to pet clinic and be treated like a chart number. Also all pet clinic smell because dogs are sick, or you don't bathe them. So if you not happy by all means come to Bastrop for those who like to complain .In our society we always will have complainers which you can never make them happy no matter what you do. Put your complaints into positive action that has real meaning. Most clients are satisfied with all of services. I hope you complainers find peace within yourselves. Thanks DP

I took my 8mon chi female to this dog killer cuz she was throwing up and poop I thought it was parvo she went in very alert at home she was still walking around picking up her head out the window I called around I really didn't want to go to this clinic cuz I took a female before and he didn't check her he tried to feed her ,he said take her home give her honey and shell b fine we'll I paid and got into car she died the minute we got on Ben white I was angry I demanded my money back and had to face my children about her death but this chihuahua right herei called that morning asked so many questions I just wanted her better like I said I know all about parvo I thought that's what it was and so many vets was trying to charge me $1200 to treat her they referred me to Dr death again I thought about it ugh maybe hell actually try to help if I can explain what happened so I called asked questions told them how her older sister died less then a year ago and asking prices asking if there was another Dr there she said there was but he was in surgery I had to see the same man she said he knew all about the parvo because its common there about dogs throwing up so I'm like OK I know many dogs don't survive parvo but I wanted her in less pain I had told them that but I get there Dr does parvovirus test it said negative OK so if its not parvovirus what is it he asked if she got into poison I said no he said maybe Cuz she didn't have a doggy period of that I had changed her diet I'm like no no no she was in a kennel most of the day he treated her as if she had parvo I was getting ready to leave he tells me that if she continues to throw up bring her in morning and hell do blood work and check if she swallowed anything but why didn't he do that there he asked to keep her til 5 took forever to agree but I did I went later picked her up he said oh she's fine shell be just fine 3hours later she died she was weaker her body freezing he refuses a refund only will refund meds

They killed my bird. I brought in my Zebra Finch and Dr. Mekonnon prescribed the antibiotic Tylan. The problem is that he told me to use daily what I now know is 12X the amount I should've used! She died within 24 hours. I called Dr. M and he told me she didn't die due to the medicine. He said she would've only had a small amount so it couldn't have been the meds, it's just a coincidence. It doesn't matter how MUCH she drank, it's that the concentration of the medicine was TOXIC! I finally just said I wanted my money back. I spent $40 for the visit and $23 for the meds. I didn't even ask for reimbursement for the $22 I spent on the bird. He told me if I bring the medication back he will refund me the $23 only. Said I wanted the full amt & he said well you only paid what, $19 for the visit? NO, I paid $40 but good to know I was raped on that front as well. I should've listened to the bad reviews. DO NOT take your animal here, this man will kill it then take no responsibility!

Very affordable pet care. Considering that I'm a new owner of a puppy, they have been very polite and patient with my questions and concerns, even over the phone. The front desk are super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They were able to give me good resources of where I can find natural substitutes of food, and preventatives for my dog, and informed me about the medications they had available there. I called the next day after my pup's first appointment because I was concerned about some issues I noticed with my new dog. They scheduled an appointment the next day at no extra charge, and was able to address what was going on with my dog and reassured me that she is healthy and that she just needs time to adjust. I feel comfortable and greatful knowing that I have a good clinic on our side.
