The are one of the few to go places for boating parts and supplies. The employees are gracious and helpful. They are not mechanics or marine experts nor are the supposed to be. Visit the location. Check out the store and get familiar with the items they carry. This is a nice resource in Austin for your boating needs. I am a satisfied customer. Thanks and happy boating. Tim

Inventory online doesn’t match store stock, left on hold for 10 minutes,(associate was polite and tried to be helpful), no customer support on website for weekend, unfortunately I am in town(Austin), to complete a time sensitive job for the University. Could not confirm a delivery time or inventory to complete my project. No (800) customer support on weekends.

Hours are listed as open till 5pm, and I arrived 10minutes before 5 and doors are locked. The guy inside saw me and looked away. So I guess I'm buying what I need off Amazon. I tried y'all.

Extremely dissatisfied with how these guys are handling my order. It's almost like they don't care to sell high value items. I ordered a $900 Kayak online because it said "in-stock item" only to find out later that it was in fact not in-stock. I waiting weeks for updates that never came. If I hadn't opened a case with them, they would have never tried to figure out that my order was on standby waiting for them to locate a kayak to fulfill my order. Then, they call me and say they're going to have to cancel my order while it's being shipped to the store. Meaning I risk the kayak arriving and being sold to someone else not to mention that I purchased it online at a promotional price. It's been almost 1.5 months and I still don't have my kayak and the store just keeps telling me it's on the way from Garland TX, which is 3 hours from Austin. My grandma can ship things faster than these guys. Save yourself the hassle and buy elsewhere.

I couldn’t have had a better experience with my first-time boat purchase! Roger and Holly thoroughly explained everything along the way, and helped me navigate through the entire process with ease. Roger gave solid advice on what to buy and what wasn’t necessary while outfitting my beautiful new pontoon. Everyone in the shop was helpful, too….I highly recommend West Marine!

The folks who work at the Austin West Marine, June 23, 2021, are rude, snobbish in nature, and far less than worthless.I asked for several items for our 20' Whaler Outrage, specific items....They just shrugged, said we don't have that, or that or I just plain I don't know....And I wandered the store and found the items myself. Since everything in West Marine is FULL LIST price or higher, I expect a tad of service.
