Had home delivery set up for 6 - 7pm last night. At 7:30 called to find out where my order was, waited on hold for 45 minutes. Had to call another number. Was told that my deliver would be there in an hour (puts it around 9:30). NEVER came, no call, no text. Called this morning. Assistant supervisor said that the computers went down after she left at 4:30 (our order was placed early in the morning) and that she can't be there 24/7. So why were we told that we'd have our food at 9:30. Answer, well I guess they hoped the computers would come back up. AGAIN. ZERO communication. Cancelled the replacement order and will do curbside with HEB. All Randalls offered was to not charge us the delivery fee. UM, messed up dinner and plans to bake pies for 4th of July. Second time trying delivery with Randalls, second time bad experience!!

I called Melanie Hamm at about 3pm on a Friday afternoon to renew my policy, and by 4pm I had the policy paid, issued and a copy in my inbox. Super easy, convenient, very kind and helpful over the phone. I wish everything was this easy! Thanks Melanie!

I called the Western Union at 10900 Research Blvd. this evening. I wanted to see if they did cashiers checks as I thought they were a bank of sorts. I was wrong. Apparently I was ridiculously wrong. First off, I called WU's main line and spoke with an agent who told me WU did cashiers checks. I then asked for more information and the agent politely gave me the number for the Randall's WU. So I call Randalls and go through the phone options. One of the options was customer service, so I assumed they could get me to the WU in the store. A woman picks up and I ask to speak with “the Western Union.†She rudely responds condescendingly, “you want to speak to THE Western Union?†Then she says they can't help anyone over the phone and probably couldn't answer any questions. I say okay, can I speak with the WU agent there. She then says “that's me and like I said we don't do anything over the phone.†I hadn't even asked her a question about WU yet. The rest of the conversation went something like: Q - Do you do cashiers checks? A - What do you mean do you do cashiers checks, etc.? Let's walk through this conversation really quick. I called Randall's and chose the customer service option. She should not be blown away that I asked for the WU. She acted like she was speaking to a toothless hillbilly who didn't know his left foot from his right. I used correct grammar by asking a customer service rep to speak with “the WU,†meaning THE Western Union in the store. Then she goes on to immediately deny the ability to help me. I know this will probably blow everyone away, but that's actually not customer service at all. She then continues her condescending policy of annoyingly repeating questions she deems childish. Let me just say, shame on me for not knowing WU isn't a bank. I can't believe anyone would make such a STUPID mistake! I must rethink my existence! Truthfully, I've spoken to customer service employees that were more rude. But I've never been treated in such a disgustingly condescending manner. I have worked in customer service and I would have been terminated immediately for treating someone like this. I had terrible days when I just had to suck it up and roll with the punches. Put on a smile, pick up the phone and treat the opposite person with respect. If you don't automatically do that after working in the business for a few months, it's clearly not for you. And that's my advice to the woman working at this location. Please consider a different career path. You're making Western Union and Randalls look awful.
