it's supposed to be cooperative, people loving people, people being equals. but between the plastic containers, fake happy of an employee, workaday world vapid attitude, and "no loitering" signs--a person proudly displaying his megabrand raisins--it seems basically dead. i hope people are going to gardening and sharing instead.

I shop at Wheatsville in south Austin over other grocery stores in my area because they carry a condensed version of what I want in the way of groceries, supplements, and sundries and I can avoid giant box stores. Also important to me at Wheatsville are the helpful workers who show a kind, tolerant and helpful attitude toward me, and to the nearby houseless people that visit. They have set reasonable boundaries and show respectful regard to everyone it seems. Thanks Wheats. I love you.

Great store. We just went to the arts festival and had an excellent time. The steak burritos were good, but the frito pie was my favorite

Grocery store in the area. Cashiers have always been friendly to me. Popcorn tofu and the African peanut soup are really tasty. I often get pastries from them as well.

DON'T EAT HERE. I GOT A HAIR IN MY PASTRY. I literally ate someone else's hair. Also the staff members are rude and the customer service is severely lacking. They don't care about their customers.

Stale bread with two pieces of tofu in a half. Horrible- and nowhere near worth the $17 I spent for two of them. Used to order this sandwich multiple times a week from the Guadalupe location. These are from south Lamar and extremely disappointing.

Great place to shop/eat, I gave it less than 5 because it is pricey at times, but the food is usually a 'hit'. I enjoy their breakfast tacos and coffee. Food selection is great. Not the best inventory of supplements, however. Overall, SOLID 4.

This store is anti semitic..I came in here the day after the attack in Israel and a woman cashier got really ugly to me out of the clear blue. She was wondering why I asked for a common item-flaxseed.Then she said in a very hostile tone"Having a good day today?" but it was more like in a threatening way or just sadistic way..When I went to the register they asked me once then again if I was an owner as they were too busy conversing with each other and making me wait on them..but they were being very rude..I will never come to this store again..

This was one of my favorite places until the girl at front with short short blonde hair was extremely rude to me for no reason. I walked in from the parking lot exhaling the last bit of my vey discreet nicotine vape, literally putting it away as I walked in the store. and she goes out of her way to start screaming at me saying she better not see me smoking it in the store and that I'm not even allowed to smoke in the parking lot here and on and on.. it was completely uncalled for, over the top unfriendly Karen behavior, very embarrassing that she is a manager there... I don't even feel comfortable shopping there anymore. The tone she talked to me in was so mean that if another man had talked to me that way it was practically like she wanted a fight and felt self righteous about it. I didn't even intend to vape in the store lol, wow.

I am from out of state and I happened to google a grocery store and this place popped up. Definitely made us feel unwelcome not one employee asked us if we needed help and when we had to pay the cashier was dry and short. The store smelled terrible too. Wouldn’t recommend this place if you have any tone to your skin.

Robert, the manager, provided one of the best experiences I’ve ever had a grocery store. When customer service seems to be a lost art these days, he went above and beyond to help my kid and me.

I have been a member for over 25 years. I used to shop there frequently until pandemic hit. I went there to get food and some things I could only get there. These are things that I noticed that made me sad. 1) the food counter for customers to eat is gone and replaced with stacks of box sparkling water 2) Corner with coffee and drinks now replaced with tshirts and knick knacks. Very unappealing... 3) outdoor eating area looks sad and rundown. Used to be inviting and vibrant. No one was there. 4) No popcorn tofu! This is their signature item that everyone loves! 5) And I am so sorry to point out that many items were over priced. Wheatville has always been so special. What happened? Why did Wheatville make all these changes that are very unappealing. Magic and charm significantly lost...

Un-scalable elitism for the sustainability crowd! Perfect for people who are too cool for Whole Foods and wouldn't be caught dead in H-E-B. Be seen with organic elite!

Awful experience with the small multicolored hair person who pretended to be manager at 1pm. Extremely unprofessional and combative. When explaining my situation they told me to “vocalize what I was saying”. Then tried elevating an argument aggressively saying that it was “my opinion”. Their condescending tone left the worst impression on the 6 people waiting in line and myself.
