"A Disappointing Display: Festive Lights with Little Else to Offer"
This Christmas night event, unfortunately, fell short of expectations. The centerpiece was a tower adorned with lights, a visually appealing spectacle, but ultimately lacking in substance. The lack of additional festive activities or entertainment created a rather underwhelming atmosphere.
Parking proved to be a significant obstacle, adding to the overall frustration of the evening.
The available food trucks offered limited options and failed to provide a truly memorable culinary experience.
Overall, this event felt like a missed opportunity. While the light display was visually impressive, it lacked the festive spirit and engaging activities that would have made it a truly enjoyable Christmas night outing packed the festive spirit."

Fun for a family night, finding parking spot is not that easy so plan in advance. There are mini cabs and cycle rides to the park from parking spots which are fun rides

It was our first time visit the park for trail of lights and we reserved for the shuttle service included admission. There was plenty of parking available but there was no direction on where the buses were . We circled around the parking to the other side until we saw the buses lining up. However once you are there. They set up the ticking system where it was easy to pick up and you are ready to board the bus . The good thing about going with the shuttle is that you don't have to wait in line to get into the event and they have the same pickup and drop off point so you just need to remember the last time frame they do the pickup. I like they have restrooms and vendors before the gate. Once the event starts at 7. The process is really smooth we got in within 10 minutes and there were plenty of photo ops and different stations for the kids to enjoy. I don't feel the need to check on maps since there was only one direction. I loved they added live performance and there is something for everyone to enjoy. Since it's all walking I would say comfortable shoes and jacket are needed. Needless to say, we enjoy our time and would recommended anyone who wishes to check it out. There are free dates too and with inflation going on, the price and the activity and lighting is worth it in my opinion.

Beautiful, Clean and Huge Off leash dog park
One of The Best Dog Parks in Austin.
Dog-friendliness: Dogs roam freely without fear in a safe environment. They get to play with all the dogs , at the park.

I love this park because we can ride canoes, on the train and the children have the most fun in the games and with the family we can even have birthday celebrations. Excellent place to spend a day with the family. Ahhhh and at Christmas the lights are impressive.

The traffic this year is worse than it ever has been. The people doing traffic control are failing. When you pay for a premium for a parking pass, there should be resources put in place to actually get people parked. 65 minutes to go less than a half mile is ridiculous. Total time from exiting Barton Skyway to parking was almost 2 hours. Parking only opens at 5:30 - ends up wasting zip passes. It needs to be done better for families.
