Market Basket, a local grocery store, has received mixed reviews from its customers. While some customers appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, including the managers and cashiers, others have raised concerns about the store's high prices and limited selection. The Phelan location is a frequent destination for many customers, who praise the staff's willingness to assist them in finding items and resolve any issues. However, some customers have noticed that the marked-down meat is sometimes expired, though the store is quick to replace it. The quality of the store's produce has been a point of contention, with customers reporting that the fresh fruit is often spoiled or moldy, especially if it's pre-packaged. Similarly, the meat selection is described as fresh but with small portions. Customers appreciate the store's convenient location and the availability of some unique items, but they often find the prices to be significantly higher than at larger grocery chains like Kroger or H-E-B. The limited selection in certain departments, such as sauces and condiments, has also been a source of frustration for some shoppers. Despite these drawbacks, Market Basket maintains a loyal customer base, particularly for its well-seasoned rotisserie chicken and store-brand jumbo eggs. While it may not be the best option for a full grocery run, the store can be a convenient choice for quick, last-minute purchases.
I stop just about every morning to buy breakfast. Lately, the eggs have black particles in it. I don't like biting on something crunchy when it's just eggs. Overall, staff is friendly.

Really miss the staff and service the store at 23rd and Phelan. Actual butcher shop always trying to please and cut meats to order. This store was like the neighborhood stores we all grew up with. Reopen this STORE.
