There is a reason why everytime I go by there, it is always busy and requires planning on my part to get my car serviced/repaired. And when they check run the car, they don't drive through a local neighborhood at 30 mph, they run it out on highway 71 in rush hour at 60 mph! Now thats testing your work! “Lakeway Lube has been my go to vehicle maintenance shop for years. Recently they went above and beyond to cement my confidence in their commitment to customer service. After my vintage Jeep Grand Wagoneer had been sitting for several months in the garage and only 300 miles since last oil change, I found a large puddle of oil under the car, and in checking the drip stick found the level was well above the full mark. Concerned a gasket had been damaged I called. After explaining I couldn't bring the car in due a resent ankle replacement on my right foot and I can't drive. Without hesitation they agreed to send a technician out to check it out. John came in less than a hour to my home checked it out and with no questions or hesitation said he was going to change the oil and filter and get topped off to correct level. Fortunately it was only the drain plug gasket that was leaking. John did the work, started the car to be sure level and leak were corrected. We had a good conversation about old folk joint replacement and love of vintage cars.

“This is not the review I thought I’d be writing. The story is a long one and the details don’t matter as much as the outcome. We can read glowing reviews all day long, but rarely stop to talk about what happens when something actually goes wrong. There was a pretty significant mishap with my vehicle while it was in this shop quite a while back. It wasn’t handled in the best way but I had too many things on my plate at the time to deal with it. A lot of time passed before I had the time and means to address it. I had very low expectations of their potential response and outcome. I thought it would take a fight to get any sort of repair done… but much to my surprise, it went nothing like that. The district manager, Mike Sanchez, went through the events with me, took into consideration professional opinions of other mechanics, heard my argument and agreed that they should fix the car. He was never defensive or condescending . He kept in touch while repairs were happening. They went above and beyond with the repairs themselves and I couldn’t be more grateful. Righting wrongs requires integrity. How that’s accomplished, says a lot more about a business than reviews from people whose visits went as planned. It was nice to be pleasantly surprised.”

“EDIT: Noting other reviews, it's true that the price for an oil change has jumped significantly in the past 6 mos. I get full synthetic which used to be around $100 with a coupon. If the business could explain the price hike (thanks to current economy?), it could improve customer trust & loyalty.
I've been going to this Jiffy Lube for 10 years and it's the best! I got my oil change and inspection done in less than an hour. In the past, this location has struggled to hire/retain inspectors, but I've never had a complaint about their services. Employees have always been friendly and competent. They have never pushed the upsell either (like others do), even with our old, junky car.”
