Kroger is a one-stop shop with thousands of quality food and household products. The store is very clean and has a little bit of everything, including fresh produce, meats, and a fresh quality seafood selection. It features a Starbucks and grab-and-go meals. The staff is friendly, and pricing is decent, but a Kroger card is needed for savings. However, some note issues with a cashier in self-checkout not paying attention. Also, precautions for keeping frozen things frozen for delivery are apparently not reliable.
New to area and was happy to find Kroger. I will be going back.

I'm going to go ahead and compare the two. Kroger has surpassed HEB in almost every way in the past 5 or so years. One thing I like most is that the people that work here are genuine and helpful. HEB workers not so much.

Kroger has a little bit of everything you need, some of the best features or they’re open till 1 AM, and they have a Starbucks in the store. They also have grab and go meals prepackaged in case you just need to grab something and get in your car and keep going from sandwiches to sushi and the store is very clean
