....7 Feb 2024...Every time my doctor sends a new Humalog Script for my Insulin pump (paid for my Traditional Medicare B), the Walgreens Pharmacy tells me that Medicare rejected the script and requires a prior authorization from my doctor. I have checked with Medicare and they do not require a "Prior authorization". I also have found that when the local Walgreen's pharmacy sends the script, it never gets to Medicare because Walgreens Headquarters stops the script from getting to Medicare and sends a message bag that Medicare requires a prior authorization. It is Walgreen's HQ that is lying and calling itself Medicare. Now if Walgreen's wants more information in order to forward it to Medicare, that is one thing. But, Walgreens masquerading as Medicare is lying and abusive. This has been happening to me for a long time now and I finally have been able to find out why my insulin script has been delayed for days to weeks each time. Stop your lying, Walgreens so that people know what they need to do to get their insulin filled. You are causing medical issues for people who need their insulin. Walgreen's wanting more information is NOT "Medicare Prior Authorization". Stop lying and calling what you want, something it is not!

I regret to say that my experience with this Walgreens pharmacy has been nothing short of a nightmare. The pharmacy staff consistently exhibit rude and condescending behavior, making each interaction unpleasant and disrespectful. Moreover, despite my repeated reminders, they persistently use the wrong insurance information, leading me to pay out of pocket for medications that should have been covered. This careless oversight has not only caused financial strain but also jeopardized my access to vital medication. As a disabled veteran, I rely on timely access to medication for my well-being. However, the process of filling prescriptions at this location is an ordeal that takes at least three weeks of frustrating back-and-forth between the VA insurance and the pharmacy staff. Despite numerous pleas for urgency, the pharmacy team fails to prioritize my needs or execute the necessary processes to expedite the filling of my life-saving prescription.Time and again, I have been told that my prescription is ready for pickup, only to arrive at the pharmacy and discover that it is not. This lack of accountability and disregard for customer well-being is utterly unacceptable. In conclusion, I strongly advise against using this pharmacy. Its incompetence and indifference have not only inconvenienced me but also severely impacted my health. It is my sincere hope that others avoid this establishment to spare themselves similar anguish and frustration.

Great, great staff, it’s just that they’re understaffed. They’ll need to put you on hold forever even when it’s not that busy. Pharmacists are always very helpful, and the staff is very kind when you get there, but over the phone it’s a wait.

I am here sitting for 1.5 hours for the covid vaccine. It is unbelievable. Why do you need an appointment if they will make you wait as long as the pharmacist wants? There is absolutely no one before me. The pharmacist keeps saying he is preparing the vaccine. Yet he is taking care of every single person picking up medication. Why?!?! Gosh I will go to a corporate level because this is just too much. If you don’t care about people don’t work providing customer service

The phone directory is junk. It is automated and doesn’t work properly. The person that answered my call was not very nice at all.

I have never had so much trouble doing anything. I'm sitting at The closest pharmacy to me in a different city because they would fill my son's prescription because they stopped honoring our insurance with no warning. Was asked to send it to a specific pharmacy in bryan and it never showed up. Which we found out only several hours later was because they sent it to some random CVS elsewhere. I'm sitting here waiting for CVS to send it over here 8 hours later hoping my son doesn't have to go to the hospital because we can't get those antibiotics. This is how you kill people!

I rarely leave reviews but this one is necessary. I would give negative stars if I could. This Walgreens location is 100% unreliable and customer service is awful. Went in today to pick up my prescription, only to find out they changed the pharmacy hours so now it’s closed on Saturdays and Sundays. What corporate pharmacy is closed at 11 am on a Saturday??? They’ve done this before. You can’t just arbitrarily change pharmacy hours whenever you want so customers need to take a chance every time. Now they’re effectively holding my prescription hostage and I won’t be able to get it until Monday night. They never answer the phone, waiting times are sometimes absurd. One problem I think they have is that they’re understaffed. Then, since this location seems to be so busy, hire more people!!! Anyway, you have one fewer customer to worry about.

The lady blew me off on the phone when I was asking about my prescription papers and then when I came in she said that she couldn’t help me because they weren’t the right ones. Turns out I had to have the Walgreens app to put in the orders myself but she never told me that and I’ve never had to do that before. They should be able to tell me a solution if it’s that simple. Very unhelpful. I’ve also witnessed two outbursts from customers at this same location

The curb-side/in-store orders are always filled promptly and accurately--faster than all the other area stores that offer this service. However, this is the least friendly Walgreens team in BCS.GRANTED, I've yet to catch the hint of ANY Walgreens associate feeling anything other than disdain and annoyance toward the online ordering options. I'd go all in and raise you 5 by boldly betting the only Walgreens sales associate thatvexisys is the one who wishes online orders were 86'd. If that judgment call doesn't sit well, surprise me! I'm here for it. I love shopping @ Walgreens and want you to succeed. If ever uncertain of the closing time on Friday night, the cashier will likely clue you in with her body language--glancing at her wrist watch, groaing and rolling her eyes, one part disbelief and the other part disgust. "Twenty more minutes, and I am done!" She declares, her enthusiasm bridled by her prejudice against the hands of time.Perhaps, her unofficial announcement, blurted and alerting no further than the next customer in line, would be more appropriate if intended to joyful inquire about her customer's wknd plans or as a simple preamble to the default, "thank you, and have a good weekend...but it met none of those qualifiers. It registered with me as delivered: rude, resentful, and unprofessional.

The first time, they entered the wrong medicine into the system. (they entered the version of the generic medicine that is not covered by my insurance) They wanted $370. I called the insurance company to understand why and have it fixed, they said they fixed it, so I went again. This time, I learned that they canceled my prescription completely. I don’t know why! Because of this pharmacy, I had to go to the doctor and pharmacy many times. Terrible service, stay away!!

Like a mini-department store, nearly everything you'd want from a bigger store can be found here. There's even a 24 hour Walgreen's!Staff is nice, friendly, and helpful.

THEY NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE I WAS ON HOLD FOR 45mins three times in a row, I live far and all I wanted was to check if my prescription was ready so I didn’t loose my drive and they never answered. Horrible service, they are rude just don’t come here, go to the one on 29th is at least better

All Walgreens/CVS/... are pretty awful but this one ranks up there with the worst among them. They can't seem to get simple orders right. Corporate pharma at its worst

Horrible!! Don't make an appointment, it does nothing to help. Go to a different pharmacy for vaccines. I made an appointment for a flu shot at 7pm. I arrived ten minutes before my appointment. They didn't see me until 7:18. I was told to sit and wait. My 8pm three people who had arrived after me all got seen, they gave me paperwork I had already filled out and told me to fill it out again. I decided to leave as I had wasted over an hour without being seen. Exceedingly disorganized and employees were unhelpful. Will not be ever going back.

We will never go to this pharmacy again. My daughter tried to get a flu shot and was turned away. They told her her insurance would not work. A simple phone call would have verified her coverage. She went across the street to CVS which helped her right away. No customer service at this location.
