“Really appreciated my visit with Dr. G! My dog has had health issues since we got him, so in the last 3 years, I’ve learned a lot on how to manage his issues. By the time we switched services to T&C, we’d already tried everything. Even so, I still learned a few new things from Dr. G, got great advice on other things to try, and I loved how she didn’t rush through our appointment. She also suggested advanced next steps but was quick to tell me we aren’t there yet. That helps me as a pet parent plan for what might be to come in the next few years.
Also, as a pet parent with a dog that needs to be on consistent (expensive!) prescription medication, I also appreciated them suggesting ways I can save money on his pills. That’s not something a vet and vet tech usually tell me unless I specifically ask.

“Ok I'm writing a review now after 2 visits 2 years apart.i wish I had submitted one 2 years ago but thought it was a one off. Two years ago one of my cats had an animal bite on his front leg, then started running a fever that night. The next day I started calling around to vet's offices close by including one that is literally a five minute walk from my house but none could see him same day. Enter Manchaca Village Vet, My child went to the same high school that they give programs for those interested in Vet care. Their over the phone staff was spympathic and was able to get me in that day with Dr.Sandra Ontiveros, DVM who diagnosed the animal bite was from another cat ( I wasn't sure) and prescribed antibiotics (she verified the dressing and antimicrobial paste I'd been using was fine). He made a complete recovery. ***(2nd visit in next post as this is long)
This is my second review of Menchaca
village Veterinary Care ( had to type it out in full so there was no mistaking who I was referring to). The first review is on Google search. The second time I needed a pet to be seen same day happened on August the 28th 2024, I had a kitten born on June 29th that was in pain and unable to walk with it's back legs. The issue happened the day before, but as it persistented thru the night I knew she had to be seen. I called the Vet down the street ( literally a five minute drive walk, if I didn't have a car) but their earliest appointment was a week, whereby Manchaca Village was able to see her that same day. Taia Lubitz, DVM saw the less than 8 weeks old kitten in my care and after X-rays it was found that she had two fractured femurs. ( Neither of us expected that as we thought it was a dislocated bone) She gave me all of the the opinions ( regardless how unsavory...like euthinesia) and put in calls to the shelter and specialist ( which I went with). Thier techs stayed with Moo and comforted her while everything was arranged. They even sent a follow up request to see how she was doing. They are fantastic.”

I was flying internationally with my dogs and they were able to get me all the proper health certificates and paperwork that was needed to make our trip seamless!
Not to mention, they kept my dogs in good health for many years prior to our departure.
If you want a vet that truly cares about the health and well-being of your pets, then I would highly recommend that this veterinarian.
If I ever move back to austin, this is be the only vet that I will go to.

“I had to help my sweet Pekingese Romeo cross rainbow bridge yesterday and it was extremely painful! Adam the tech and Dr Lubitz were so caring so kind and so very very compassionate. It was so hard but they made his transition peaceful and allowed me and my dad to stay with my Romeo the entire time which meant so much to me. The office is so nice and very clean and staff is very friendly.”

“I called yesterday and they said they could clean my dog’s teeth TODAY! It was my first time getting my 5 year old maltipoos teeth cleaned and I was super nervous but I knew it had to be done for her health. This office is full of people that genuinely care. I said I was nervous and started crying and one of the ladies asked me if I wanted a hug and came up and gave me one. I was just so frightened my pup wouldn’t wake up from it. They called me to tell me when her surgery was finished and when she was ready to be picked up. They were clear about before and after care instructions and the price was affordable. Dogs dental health is incredibly important so it’s worth it. They assured me everything would be fine and they were right! I got off work and picked up my baby. Look at those pearly whites! And her stinky breath is gone too!”
“My pet Luke was not feeling so good and Dr.Jones was extremely kind to him. He gave me antibiotics as well as eye drops for my little guy. Dr.Jones is super old school but he knows his stuff. This place took me in within a day turnaround no crazy appointments nor crazy hidden fees. Super affordable and extremely happy with the service. Thank you for a sense of Peace, having a sick dog is the worst.”
