Do not leave your garbage, the place is very nice, but there are people who do not respect and leave their garbage in the place

I loved it. It's so open, clean, and free. Never disappointed when I come here.

Great place to canoe, tube, star gaze & truly relax. We love the majestic old trees!! Only downside is the lack of internet connection/cell service, which made it challenging for my need to still be working. (If you drive a few minutes to Camp Wood, you can get service.) Otherwise, disconnecting is a blessing! FYI- RV campers are allowed to have dogs, but day campers are not. Our pup loved Cooksey Park.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed with RV camping, but not day campers.

This was our first time stopping here and our family absolutely loved it!!! It is an awesome spot for the whole family! The different water levels helped with the smaller non-swimmers in my family. And the huge slab of cement that sits 3 inches under water is super awesome to set up a pop up tent and just relax under the shade! We will definitely be back

The gate watcher likes to talk down to people and thinks he's actually doing something when he tries to question people. "Smile for the camera".. dude we dropped my little cousin off with her family that's there for a reunion, and needed to step out of the vehicle after driving for 4 hours. But no you think you need to question someone that's not even in the gate. You must be really bored and just on a power trip cause you guard a gate. How sad. This is the second year to give me attitude for nothing. Get over yourself.

The old low water crossing bridge makes an excellent place for family fun swimming. The only drawback is all the trash left behind! Please clean up before you leave.

Wes Cooksey Park was really nice. We had no RV when we went but we got day passes for 4 dollars a person. Nice clean relaxing area. Clean restrooms and showers. Fire pits and barbeque pits available. I would recommend this place.

This is a private park. Do not bring dogs they have no dogs allowed signs everywhere. The buildings are very dated. Most RVs are permanent and people living there. Grounds are nice and large trees. Water is beautiful but I will not visit again.

This is a great park with great shade, and terrible awful Wi-Fi, if you’re counting on using your cell phone are the park Wi-Fi for anything other than maybe getting an email or two you’ll be out of luck.

Swimming in the Nueces River with my granddaughter was so much fun; we went back the next day.The water level was a little lower than the previous year sadly, but still enough water to enjoy. My granddaughter spent 5 hours in the water without coming out, not even to snack.

Drove 2 hours to get to this location and was completely worth the long drive. The park was free of liter, the water was refreshing and my family had a wonderful time.
