Had a great experience with Dave Harris at this location. I inquired about purchasing a Traeger smoker for my fathers birthday who lives local. Dave helped me get everything as it pertained to ordered and helped make sure it was delivered on a specific day. He also sent me pictures of different spice options that my father might enjoy. Thanks Dave for helping me coordinate this gift while I lived in Idaho!

I went into the store today, on 11/1/25, looking for some screws. I had two in my purse that I needed to match and showed Sarah the paperwork with the size information. When I got to the counter, I took out my screws and realized they didn’t match. That seemed to set something off in Sarah.
I politely said that the screws didn’t match the ones in my purse, and she replied, “I didn’t know you had them in your purse.” I said, “I guess they didn’t match the paperwork,” and she responded, “How am I supposed to know that?”
We eventually found the matching ones, and when I said “thank you,” she just said “okay” and walked away. I’ve never had a problem in this store before, but I’d recommend hiring people who actually want to work there.

Went in for knife sharpening. The machine plays a video showing the associate to push the knife all the way forward against the mount, because the engineers knew that the users would be making this mistake. The associate messed this up big time and my $100 knife had to go through another pass, and the second pass was real close.

No Better Place if you need a specific nut or bolt, or need help trouble shooting a home-based project.
Team Members that walk the aisles know their store and know their stuff.
While the price points are lower and the inventory larger at Big Box Stores, these Ace Hardware Stores and Westlake excel at one-on-one help and guidance.

My go to place for paint and little hardware things. I love ordering the paint online and then swinging by to pick it up so I don't have to wait for it to be mixed. They are FAST with the online orders - Can't beat the service!

Management mistreats it's elderly employees. If they complain, it gets worse. People shop at Ace because of the older staff and their knowledge base. Ace should be ashamed to employ managers who verbally abuse staff, especially senior citizens for no reason

The manager, Sara, is a disgusting human being. There's a very nice, elderly lady who works there, named Eileen. Sweet woman, knows her store, very helpful. But Sara, is pure evil. I have experienced on more than one occasion, deliberate abuse from Sara towards Eileen. Sara yells at Eileen, talks down to Eileen. Sara degrades Eileen every chance Sara can. I have left Ace to purchase elsewhere because I can not tolerate the Disgusting Abuse Sara dishes out towards Eileen. I will be filing a report to Corporate, BBB, Texas Labor Force and possibly an attorney. I REFUSE to ever purchase from Ace until Sara is No Longer employed by Ace.

I had a very negative experience with an employee while doing a return. The employees name is James or Jim. I am not sure because his badge said otherwise. Came in to ask for a return and he said that only if they carried it, they would make a return, but didn’t even bother to check if they carried it until I asked him to. Proceeded to ask where the bathroom was, and he answered the phone after I had asked him and told me to wait until he finished his phone call. After he finally told me where the bathroom was, I proceeded to thank him and said “thank you boss. I appreciate that.” He then replied very rudely “that is not my name” but keep in mind. I didn’t know his name. I was just being courteous because he was an elder. I then proceeded to call him, sir, and he didn’t have a problem with that. When I came back to check out, he proceeded to talk to me with sarcasm. I will definitely be thinking twice before coming back to this store.

The guy at the front was really nice and let me pick out colors for cups, I told him I had a question for the guy in the back who was busy when I was back there, and I would be right back. I walked to the back, trying to find the associate and a woman that was working ripped the cups out of my hands and told me how I’m not supposed to have these… The employees were very nice but I will not be coming back to this location if that’s how you treat customers. Please retrain your female associates.
