“The hall was beautiful! Mayra was always available for any question that I had for every step of the way. She made the decor so beautiful and truly made my wedding day perfect. I would definitely book again. The staff, security, and bar tenders were very helpful as well. Mayra is super awesome and truly made planning my event super easy.I would consider a different DJ next time because he didn't fulfill the request and music i had wanted. All other vendors were amazing!”

“We hosted my daughter’s Quince and it was an Amazing Experience! Everyone of the staff members went over and beyond to make our night perfect! The servers were attentive to all of our guests and catered to them all night. The coordinators of the event tended to us all night and paid attention to every detail. “Love to see moribund churches being repurposed into something beneficial to the community!!! When a friend had a play here, we jumped at the chance to come and show support! The place is still very much looking like a church on the outside (the sign is just a banner for now), but the space is very large and there are numerous bathrooms, which are both huge pluses! Our event had a bar and food for sale. The sound system was awesome! There were many volunteers to help, but getting in and getting tickets needed a bit of work. Overall we had a great time here & recommend the space for all sorts of events!”

“We had our wedding 10/20/23 and 5 stars is just not enough. From the day we booked, to the very end of the night of our event, Alexis was amazing to us! And the servers & bartenders were just as amazing! We had so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was, how good the food & cake tasted, the snacks, the setup, the service, EVERYTHING! The photographers/videographers are also beyond great! The DJ as well. We are happy we chose this venue for our special day/night! Thank you Garza's Reception Hall for helping us have an incredible night to remember!”

“Amazing venue! Beautiful 360 degree views of the landscapes from the park views on one side to the bluegreen waters on the other. I didn't get the best of photos but you can see how open and bright this place is. And the video shows just a quarter of the overall space used for the performers.”

“Lady in the front with the blue hair has a nasty attitude for no reason. When I came to the front desk the blue hair girl and another lady were there. Blue hair didn’t even look at me or acknowledge me. The other lady took a second to say anything she kept looking at blue hair then she helped me.Morning of check out I asked if I could have a late check out. Blue hair says it’s only for rewards members. I said “ I am a rewards member” blue hair says “well your not in the system” with an attitude quickly. She has no customer service skills the correct thing to say is “may I have your rewards number I don’t see you in the system” Once she got my number she said she’ll give the late check out and hung up. 30 minutes before late check they send a wake up call. I didn’t not need nor ask for a wake up call that was unnecessary and rude. Wake up calls aren’t given unless requested.I have stayed here other times and she always has a stink look on her face and is not approachableThe other day at the front desk with long hair was nice and the night time front desk Hispanic man is nice.Housekeeping comes too early at 9:35amCable didn’t work in room.”

“The rooms are great. The manager is BEST, had a storm come thru and part of the hotel lost power. She came back to the hotel to move people to different rooms that had electricity. Then she called people that had reservations to let them know. You tell when you want your room cleaned and it's done. I will stay here everytime I can.”

“Attended a birthday party there. It was a nice atmosphere. The restrooms were kind of far from the seated, eating area. The staff wasn’t friendly but they weren’t rude either. It was very hot in the building and the cake was melting. The floor was dirty and you could tell it was old things but it was stained. I had a good time but I wouldn’t go back just to go.”

“Recently, I had my sweet 16 there and it was amazing it was just the right temperature the food was awesome and the owners were doing great services for us decorations were spot on exactly what I asked for I asked for a rose gold and some pink and they served exactly that I rate this place a 10 out of 10 thank you Natalia for your services!! ? “It's a great, cozy movie theater. It's clean, it has a small arcade, a tiny bar, whole selection of snacks and food (pizza, burgers, etc). Seats are comfortable and it's very well kept. Staff is helpful and friendly. The best option by far on the East-South East side of Houston”

“Fun course! Slow play on a Sunday afternoon with no starter. The course was very fun with many tall trees. The course was generally in good condition. A few greens and tees had rough spots, but most were in good shape, as were the fairways and sand bunkers. The front 9 was much more secluded through the woods and the back 9 had houses on both sides of almost every hole. It was worth the trip for my group!”

Having stayed recently at an alternative extended stay facility which was not very nice or clean inside or outside, despite being in an upscale neighborhood, we were pleased to see the rooms and lobby at Candlewood Inn Suites/Laporte were surprisingly attractive for the price. The coffee bar, essentials store, patio with electric barbecue grills, and a heater tower were welcome amenities. Thank you, Miss Cindy and Miss Diana for all of your assistance.”
