2566 I-20 Frontage Rd, ClydeWe had a horrible situation where my pet pig was attacked by 2 stray pit bulls. I run into Callahan County Vet, covered in blood, to the most comforting environment, understanding and caring staff and phenomenal vet. It was a horrible situation and even though I’m in healthcare the trauma my baby (Bonnie) went through was devastating. At every step I was reassured, comforted and kept informed. Although my sweet Bonnie didn’t make it, I’ll never use another vet clinic besides Callahan County Vet. ❤️

3556 Co Rd 275, ClydeAnimal Control with the Clyde Animal Shelter deserves every bit of praise I can give. My two dogs wandered miles from home and were missing for three long days. I called the shelter after hours, expecting voicemail, but someone picked up immediately. Not only did they have my dogs—safe, fed, and cared for—the process of getting them back was simple and calm, exactly what I needed in that moment.
What struck me most was the kindness behind the work. The staff member I spoke with, Lynn, turned out to be a familiar face from when I worked at Family Dollar, one of those kind regular customers you don’t forget. Even with only that small connection, she treated me with genuine compassion. She didn’t just do her job—she went above and beyond, gave me a break when she knew money was tight, and made me feel understood instead of judged.
Her kindness was real, the kind that comes from who a person is, not who they know. I truly believe she would have treated anyone the same way. People like her keep places like this running with heart. I’m grateful beyond words, and I can’t thank the Clyde Animal Shelter—and Lynn—enough for taking care of my dogs and making a stressful situation so much easier.
