“This place is truly a hidden gem. Stephanie and employee was amazing! She took me on a tour, after I mentioned I had never heard of the place and it was recommended to me. She gave me a historical story of how the business got started and the all about the owners. I was happy to know she loved her job and her boss. They have EVERYTHING you can imagine- for a fraction of the regular price. Go see for yourself!”

“This rating is on 1 in particular employee, Nakeidra. The few times I have gone in, this chic is on point! Nakeidra is bubbly and friendly. She greets you as you enter the doors, and as you check out in the express lines. She oversees and monitoring 9 self checkout machines while keeping the flow of the lines MOVING. Not only does she assist you with your questions, but if need be, I've watched her suspend your transaction, then retrieve it at her post and finalize your purchase. Nakeidra knows what she's doing!!! Very polite, customers service driven and definitely deserves an Atta Girl and recognition a job well done! Thank you, sister, for being you!”
“01/30/2024 I went to the store for Chest Rub , which Is vick Varpor. Well Family Dollars on Jefferson Blvd., Didn't have Nothing, of either products. WHY???? ALMOST ALL THE BIG NAMES STORES DO NOT HAVE NONE OF THE MAIN PRODUCTS. THIS IS NOT RIGHT, NOT EVEN THE MAIN DRUG STORES IN MY COMMUNITY. WHY???!!!!!!???”

“Me and my family love coming here. We've each had our own experiences at this store. I went in one morning and Lionel the manager was alone but he took care of us all very quick. And he was super nice. My daughter told me one day Jazzy helped her and my Grand babies. She was so patient and kindly helped her with no hesitation. I walked in and both Jazzy and Anisha were working and dancing and singing I joined in with them. And all of them are always greeting us and make us feel welcomed. I do recommend this place. My mom told me that they always hold the door for her when she leaves the store. You can't find workers like that anywhere. Not even worker, just people. They're willing to give that helping hand when they don't even have to.”

“There was one assignment and that was to purchase one antenna. Impressed by their prices and selection of items, strolling every aisle seemed fitting. Their shelves are stocked with household items, party, hardware, cleaning, floral, hair care, baby, craft and school supplies. Everyone was friendly and helpful. There was even an opportunity to practice my Spanish while shopping. The store was clean, brightly lit and the aisles were well organized. Needless to say, more items were purchased than planned. Loved this place!”
“Nicely remodeled and tended, but their collection of merchandise has changed, i.e., the selection of grooming products.I preferred the furniture to be less central in the store. The draw of Big Lots! For me is home goods, personal hygiene products, seasonal products, and food.”

“This store is great for a lot of reasons. I have brought supplies lasting 6 months plus such as trash bags and paper towels. I have also brought three 24 packs of beverages for my grocery haul. Whenever I get a chance to be on this side of town I will stop by. My schedule is so busy but whenever I am in town I stop here to get the snacks and head over to the airport afterwards. Customer service amazing. I love restocking my snack drawer in the kitchen because it comes in handy especially when my teenager is homeschooled?and loves to have his snacks!!”

“I usually won't give this kind of a review for a dollar store of all places. This review is for this Family Dollar and the young cashier standing up there dealing with hundreds of people coming in an hour by himself. He had a good attitude even when I spoke with him. He did his job efficiently and it kept going at it, that was a good thing to see. I hope you paying these kind of guys what their worth ??? I don't know his name but it is 5:45 p.m. on January 14th 2022 and it's easy to identify who's working at that location at that time. If you're from the in store perspective.”

“Have noticed transitions over the past few years. The current conditions are acceptable with a general flow through the store. Aisles a bit narrow but that allows for a greater selection of merchandise. Shelf pricing is a bit off from final register price on a few items but within acceptable levels. Having worked QA, know the consistent battle to maintain the status quo.”

“I purchased 2 adult dresses last week for $5.99 each. The price was exceptional for the quality of the material. The dresses were sage green with adjustable spaghetti straps and nice deep pockets (quality t-shirt fabric. Perfect summer dress. If you are finding that it is harder to stretch your dollar, head to Dd's. It is owned by the Ross department store. If you don't find something the first visit, drop in occasionally. Toys, clothing, lawn and garden, misc, etc...they have it ?”
“Affordable prices - however - be prepared to deal with a store manager that is rude. I was shopping there last night and thought I had an error on my bill (I didn’t). My cashier was very sweet - looked at my bill & called the mgr to issue a refund on something I thought had been hit twice. The manager comes up - speaks to her in Spanish - the cashier is responding in English (my language) & the manager continues to speak to her in Spanish. I don’t understand a lot - but she asked the cashier if I was lying or not telling the truth - the cashier responded (again in English) that my cart was right there as evidence. The mgr continued to speak in Spanish. Then turned to me and spoke perfect English. All I can say is HOW RUDE. She has NO BUSINESS being a manager if she is going to be that condescending to customers. I KNEW she knew English because the cashier was speaking to her in English yet she continued to speak Spanish - a language I don’t understand. Great job in customer service from the cashier. She treats the customer with integrity and respect. The manager needs to go back to school for training. The cashier is more deserving of a manager position.”

“The outside of the store is clean and there's plenty of parking. The inside of the store is clean though it is very cluttered. The staff is always usually really friendly with the exception of the manager. Don't know his name but he's a man in his bald. The problem with this Dollar General is they'll have an advertisement for something in the paper but rarely have it on the shelves. Even on the first day of the cell in the morning. They always blame it on a late truck. Then when you come back for it they don't want to give it to you for the sale price. It's really messed up situation there.”

“I got there right as they were closing the two employees I saw were friendly and courteous and allowed me roam throughout the store acquire all the things on my list of a dozen items or so quickly and efficiently I found their name brand products at the usual discounted rates comparable to such stores as Walmart but on a smaller scale kind of like a school room setting one teacher per 20 students is much better than one teacher versus 60 or 70 students that you'll find in larger schools such as Walmart compared to dollar store they have that advantage and I saw that in spades tonight as I visited store right before they closed and was out the door 2 minutes ahead of schedule and did have to employ the help with finding a couple of items in which was also quick and efficient. Plus in addition the store was neat and clean”
