Lark Northgate offers student apartments near Texas A&M, a great location within a 15-minute walking distance to campus. The property itself is beautiful with good amenities, including a rooftop pool. It represents a vibrant off-campus housing community at a great price point for the Northgate area. Reviews present a mixed experience. Many residents report a good personal experience, finding their individual apartments nice, clean, and comfortable, describing it as a college apartment that gets the job done. Staff during tours are noted as nice, helpful, very knowledgeable, and able to answer any question. One staff member in particular receives high praise for a friendly demeanor, approachability, excellent customer service, and proactively ensuring residents feel heard and supported. However, significant criticisms are directed at overall management and common areas. Since a change in management, many feel the property has gone downhill. Common complaints include hallways that are often filthy and smell gross, frequently broken amenities like the gym equipment and coffee machine, a pool that is often closed, and slow maintenance responses. Management is described as struggling, with noted priorities like frequent towing overshadowing fixes for persistent issues like a broken garage gate. Community events are infrequent. While some have been fortunate, other tenants have reported horror stories involving broken AC and thefts.
This place is absolutely horrible. Don't even think about living here.

I recommend living somewhere else because you cannot fully trust... read full comment

Amenities are all right, the hallways and the stairwells of both buildings, have a strong smell of sewage. And it's been that way forever
