The pets are all really well taken care of and the adoption process was really smooth. All of the animals seem to have a good amount of space to themselves. Their surrender waitlist is months long, so if you have a pet you can’t keep you’ll have to explore other options.

Always a great place to find a new tribe member. Our newest member, Felix is just awesome, and it's thanks to the great volunteers here that we even had the opportunity to bring him home.

The staff was very friendly. I didn't see Velma who I saw online but before I left asked about her and the ladies took me straight to her. I would recommend Gulf Cost Humane Society. For everything that they do with your adoptive pet plus send you home with, the adoption fee is worth it.
Gulf Coast Humane Society is the largest no-kill animal shelter in South Texas. For 75 years, GCHS has been providing shelter and care for the homeless animals in our community through adoption, fostering, community partnerships, education, and affordable spay-neuter and vaccine services.
