Texas Sealife Center is a small, outdoor rescue and rehabilitation facility that cares for injured and displaced wildlife. Visitors can see a variety of animals, including sea turtles, turtles, tortoises, an owl, hawks, a porcupine, amphibians, and snakes housed in separate cages. The center operates mainly on donations and offers educational tours led by passionate guides who explain each animal's story, how they ended up in the center, and the measures taken to care for them. The guides also share tips on protecting wildlife in daily life, making the experience both educational and heartfelt. Though simple and not fancy, the center is loved for its genuine care for the animals. Visitors appreciate the opportunity to see the animals up close and hear stories about their rescue. Many recommend making a reservation for a tour, especially since the outdoor setting means walking on sand and enduring warm temperatures, sometimes up to 104 degrees. The facility is free to visit, but there is a small fee for the guided tour. The gift shop offers items at reasonable prices, though some reviews suggest pricing could be improved. Overall, Texas Sealife Center is a great place for those interested in wildlife rescue, marine biology, and learning about animals that need extra help. Visitors value the passion of the staff and the chance to see animals that are happy and well cared for, making it a meaningful experience for all ages.
