Consistently Unpleasant Experience at Self-Checkout
I’ve had multiple negative experiences with an employee named Gloria at the self-checkout, and unfortunately, it’s not the first time. Every time I go through the self-checkout, Gloria seems to treat me like I’m doing something wrong or trying to steal, despite following all the steps properly. Her tone is harsh, and she often hovers over me in a way that feels accusatory.
I understand that loss prevention is important, but there’s a more professional and respectful way to go about it. This has happened several times, and it’s made shopping here feel uncomfortable. It’s a shame, because the rest of my experience at H-E-B is usually great, but this ongoing issue with Gloria has really impacted my visits.
I hope management addresses this and provides her with better customer service training to ensure that no one else feels this way.

Male employees spend their time sitting in the stalls playing on their phone instead of doing their job. I almost used the restroom on myself waiting as I saw 3 employees hurry up and leave the restroom after walking in several times to hear their videos and games. It took my girlfriend walking in and saying hurry up after 7-8 mins of just sitting there and waiting for the employees to meander lazily out of the restroom. They’re riding the clock. It was about 5:30-5:36.

I love this place lol it’s like my second home. If I’m not home I’m at H‑E‑B lol ? I’m a NEw Yorker and they don’t make supermarkets like this over there

Different types of products are just not the same as they used to be. For example, it's a lot of GMO fruit now. Much of the fruit doesn't bare any good seeds. There apples have been good though.
I used to get Albanese gummy bears and now they only sell the $10 party bag. The Chinese meals I used to get in the red container. They used to be hot now later in the evening the meals get cold from sitting and it's just distasteful. It's many things that can be done better here

One of the cleanest H-E-B's in the area. The bakery staff does an incredible job and are always super helpful with our requests. We never have to wait too long in lines for check-out.

Unfortunately, I have to finally reach out about HEB'S fruit. The Large Grapefruits and the Navel Oranges taste horrible. It tastes like they have been frozen at a point then put out on the shelf, which is not fair considering your high prices. Now, I've just decided to stick with the organic apples and sometimes grapes. I just peeled a large Grapefruit last night and it was crunchy. Who wants a crunchy Grapefruit. Unacceptable at this point. We spend too much money there daily to keep allowing this to happen. GMO no seeder.
