Austin Street Center is a temporary shelter in Dallas that provides help in times of need. It is located right next to The Stew Pot. Some individuals noted there can be issues living there with other clients and people that work there, who can sometimes be difficult. However, going in with the right mindset can help someone get what they need. The shelter starts letting people in at 9 am Monday through Friday, and it is advised to arrive before 11 am. Having identification is necessary. While the food isn't all that, the center provides crucial help. Volunteers and staff, including those in charge of employment and operations, show great kindness and offer assistance, guidance, and additional recommendations even if someone does not meet the exact criteria to stay. The center is recognized for its valuable support.

There are issues you will face living here with other clients and people that work here(can be the worst to you) But if you go into this place with the right mindset you can get what you need

Coming here I was so scared and not sure how to get around Dallas, but during this journey Crystal in charge of employment, Curstin in charge of operations really helped and I thank them and Marie for giving me the chance. Amazing support
