Stayed here for a night when we were going to a show at the Rustic. Perfect location, as it was just a short walk, ~2 blocks. Hotel was very clean and seemed new. Stacey the valet was amazing, very personable and kind. He told us to make sure we checked out the view on the 8th floor. There was a nice rooftop bar/lounge up there. I had breakfast off the main lobby, there was a buffet and a la carte menu. Overall it was a great stay. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to others needing to stay in that part of town, Uptown/West Village.

On 9/24/24 I was commuting to work on an electric scooter. I was just down the street from this hotel when I hit a bump in the road and fell. I bumped my head hard enough to break my helmet, cut open my eyebrow, got a swollen black eye, and was scraped up pretty badly. Someone at this hotel must have seen it happen because moments later an employee drove up in her car to ask me if I was ok. My memory is fuzzy, but I think her name is Marie and I think she said she is the Assistant Manager. I told her that I had called my husband to come pick me up. She mentioned that she worked at this hotel and asked me if I’d like to come and wait in the lobby rather than the planter I was sitting in on the street. She escorted me and my scooter down the street and inside, got me water, made sure I was feeling ok, and introduced me to the men at the front desk. They were all so kind and caring, and I can’t thank them enough for coming to my aid and giving me a safe place to wait. I can’t comment on the rooms, or what it is like to be an overnight guest, but the lobby is beautiful and the staff are top notch and clearly care.

Walkability: Note that during the summer it's not walkable. Not only doesn't the weather allow it but all the concrete and asphalt in the city retain so much heat that even the evenings are hot.

Always stay in this location close to my doctor office for my appointment

Our toilet wasn’t flushing at 1am and we asked them to come fix it and they said the only thing they could do is have us move rooms. Move all of our stuff to a new room at 1am? You don’t have anyone to fix our toilet? He said “you can come to the lobby to use the bathroom”. Unacceptable.

I love staying at this hotel whenever I come to Dallas! It's in a great location, the rooms are very comfortable, and the staff is always welcoming. I would like to give a shoutout to Leeca who helped me workout a little issue. I wasn't looking for compensation, but she went above and beyond and made me feel valued. The breakfast here is good and reasonably priced. This will always be my go to in Dallas when visiting my friends and family!

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. Quiet at night. Amenities listed elsewhere and are correct. Downsides: no self parking and there is ONE extremely hard working valet for the entire hotel (guests plus folks visiting the rooftop). Be prepared to WAIT. Lack of cleaning service cheapens the experience. Daily towels and turndown service are great, but they don’t empty overflowing trash cans, don’t replace used coffee cups and don’t refresh the in room coffee service.

Great hotel, amazing service, very clean and neat, beautiful and peaceful. The view was incredible from every corner and the ambiance from the streets was incredible. Would 10/10 recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Texas and will start looking for more Canopy hotels whenever i visit new cities!
Safety: Always felt safe and at peace!
Walkability: So many restaurants, stores and some pet friendly places at walking distance!
Food and drinks: Amazing options near the hotel!
Noteworthy details: All the employees were lovely and always brightened up our mornings and night whenever we entered or left the hotel!

While the facilities were beautiful, the Canopy Hilton is NOT the place to stay if you have small children (ESPECIALLY babies), senior citizens or anyone with asthma. The lobby is overpowering, so much so that I think you're nose blind by the time you get to the room.
Whatever they spray in there had me unable to breathe and we literally ended up leaving the room and sleeping in the car, since it was already 1am and we had an early flight. The chemicals in that spray caused me shortness of breath, wheezy lungs, and coughing, despite using my inhaler and antihistamines.
If your employees are constantly getting sick, it's whatever you are using in there. It's great to have a hotel that presents well but if the air is unhealthy, it nullifies all of the beauty.
Walkability: Lots of people were out and about. Seemed safe.

The manager kicked me out of the hotel when I was having a chest pain due to heat (it's Texas). I was only waiting for my ride. The lobby was empty, I wasn't bothering anyone or dirty or shirtless or anything, but I had a cane with a metal end. It wasn't sharp or anything. This guy came out and said that I couldn't be on the premises with a weapon. I said it wasn't a weapon, to what he said "it is to me. I don't want to have to have to shove you out."
When we were outside he had called the cops. Six security guards and one cop escorted me out of the hotel.
Don't stay there until they fire this clown. Lovely hotel otherwise. I've hung out with friends when they fly in for local conventions. Marvin is a great desk clerk and the rooftop bar has a fantastic view.

We travel a lot. Mostly for work and occasionally for fun. I am not an easy review. I have stayed at the Canopy by Hilton Dallas Uptown several times in Dallas, so this is not a one time experience. I have stayed in many Hotels in Dallas including the most pricey. I will only stay at this Hotel for all my future stays. Here is my list of why's this is the best Hotel, and at a great price!
1. The front desk staff is warm and friendly. They greet you with a little surprise! So thoughtful.
2. The rooms are so well designed. Clean and modern. But even more important, the furniture is well thought out and functional if you have to do some computer work. The bed and mattress are top of the line. The wardrobe cabinetry is so well planned, a place to lay out your luggage and Iron and Board if needed. A well thought out Coffee and Tea Bar, with a great little refrigerator. Bottled water for you, Free! Plus Ice and Filtered water on every floor. Of course an in-room safe. A full length mirror, a separate sink and shower area, if you have 2 people trying to get ready. The toiletries are wonderful and smell delicious, top notch. They make sure you have plenty of TP, Tissue, and small essentials like Q-tips, cotton balls, and shower cap. The Hair dryer is professional quality, not cheap. The have a magnifying mirror in every room. Plush towels. The lighting in the room is perfect, from bathroom lights, to overall lighting, to bedside lighting and even the spot reading lights on the bed.
The Daily Housekeeping is beyond great, and I always leave a tip each day for the hardworking staff. As a designer and project manager, I pay attention to the details, and this is definitely a 5-star room.
3. The location is great, and of course depends on what part of Dallas you are looking for. There are restaurants close by, but the Top floor Bar is perfect for the end of the day refreshments, and a light meal. The main lobby is wonderful and has a beautiful brick ceiling and breakfast bar and eating area.
4. If you need to use Uber or Taxis, this is the perfect location. I have never waited more than 5 minutes.
5. You are 10 minutes to Dallas Love Airport. Nothing is close to DWF Airport.
Thank you Canopy Hilton Dallas Uptown, you and your staff nailed it, every time.

Amazing hotel. Big rooms, clean and modern rooms, great staff and location. The rooftop bar is the perfect place to chill after work. Nice gym. I will definitely be staying here again.
