Looks like a ghost town, empty shelves, no personnel, disappointing. Down from being a favorite store... No more.

What used to be a sprawling metropolis of transistors, resistors, and things that blink now seems like a desolate wasteland of never-to-be-restocked shelves and depressing atmosphere. Most of the isles are barren, all of the tech displays are empty, the staff is nowhere to be seen, but still friendly when you can find one!The place looks like it's on its last legs, but according to the staff they're just trying to downsize and make the store more focused. I was still able to find what I was looking for, which were tiny components for an electronics project.Only movie left in the entire store was the ghost busters remake.

I remember when this place opened many years ago. It was almost like going to The State Fair, or carnival, or brand new mall in the 80's. Colorful lights, gizmo's, popcorn, balloon's etc and packed with people. Now it's just a shadow of what it used to be. This sizing down began long before Covid, but that, I'm sure, made it worse. The store (warehouse really) is so large though, it can have rows and rows of empty aisles but still have a giant selection of things you won't find anywhere else locally (besides online). Many things I wouldn't even guess a Frye's to carry. I rarely get by here but could easily spend hours trying to look at everything and come out thinking "I need to come by more often". I wish it would stay open forever, although it does seem strange, almost eerie to be in such a large place with so few people in it. IDK how it's even lasted this long. Go by and buy something.

The whole store look as if they were going out of business. Sales people was not very help, every question we ask, their answer was "I don't know" and then they turn and went about what ever they were doing.Frye's need to hire more friendly people that care about their job and the company they work for.

Not the same anymore, lots of empty shelves, maybe they're doing more business online for people to pick up.

It was an interesting experience because of the pandemic. Employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. Inventory was limited due to shipments are on back order at the moment. Store was clean. I wish I would have payed more attention to the sales associates name that helped me so I could mention him on this. He is very knowledgeable as far as computers and laptops go. I explained what I was looking for and he recommended several laptops that met the standards I was looking for.

They had literally only generic tablets left , found something I could settle for but packaging was misleading or the gentleman didn't know what he was speaking of. Added photo see what you think about the verbiage. I felt it was a case/keyboard and iPad. MUST SAY PRICES ARE Great $100-140 for just the keyboard casing ? One on Clearance for $70 . Box i believe says iPad included but couldn't open it or get better idea from packaging.

Above and beyond customer service. The guys working there are amazingly helpful. I took my dead computer, which I thought I would never be able to get it to work again. Within hours I received a call from Diego that the computer is back to life and up and running; not only that, but he recommended a recovery service for me to send my old hard drive and have the information recovered. I will definitely return.

Not really the fault of ownership here considering our current economic climate & e-commerce in general, but this store looks like it's out of business. It's massive & about 75% empty so what little inventory they have is mostly pushed to the front & center of the store. Signage doesn't match the aisles & they no longer carry most of those items anyway so finding anything in here is a nightmare. You'll have to walk the whole warehouse to (not) find what you're looking for. Thankfully must folks are nice & helpful and customer service was easy with a return I had. Sad to see Fry's in this state considering what an amazing concept it was in its hey day where it was the ONLY place you could find everything under one roof.

It was a building containing a number of things of varying prices. There where windows and doors, which is a must for any building. They had a floor (which was very responsible of them) on which they placed displays for the things of varying prices. People were there who knew where the things were and what they were for and how much they cost. They could even sell those things to you! They only accept money though (so trendy). They're having trouble getting some of the things because of certain conditions which can't be helped. So I bought one of the other things and was very pleased with it.

This is the 2nd time I've been to Fry's in Garland in about 6 months. The 1st time I was shocked to see that their shelves are almost empty. It used to be that they had many sales people buzzing around almost to the point of having too many. Now the only people in the store seemed to be cashiers. After wandering around for about 5 minutes, I found a guy with a Fry's badge and asked, "Do you guys build computers anymore?" He said yes but since they don't stock motherboards, ram, chip sets, etc., that I would have to order on line have it delivered to the store and then have them build it for me. Fat chance of that. Looks like Fry's days are numbered. R.I.P.

No customer service.. Terrible! Never again .. .I ordered a speaker online for my sons birthday and after a month waiting for it, i called UPS and was told Fry's has cancelled the order! I called Fry's and was told they didn't carry that item anymore , but was still charged for an item they never intended to send to me? Remember Circuit-City? Hops? McDuff? Yeah they had similar service to Fry's...and they went out of business, so keep up the good work! i will get my refund in 15 to 20 days! thanks for nothing!
