There was no line when I got there and the process was quick. The car was nice and there was a large selection to choose from.The reason I deducted two stars was the unnecessary haggling done by the agent at the desk. I ordered the "Manager Special" online. She said "it's going to be an electric car, will that be an issue?" I said "No." She then said I should probably switch to a gas car but it would be more expensive and I said no thank you. She then asked where I was going and again tried to get me to spend more money again for a car I didn't want or need. She then told me to go out the door behind her and the electric cars are the first ones out there. So I walk out there and look around and another lady tells me just to pick any car I wanted. I picked the first available car which was a gas car. What an annoying and unnecessary experience.Drop off was easy at DFW.

4 stars because ashan or whatever the older mans name with white hair that is balding, sits on the far right computer, made it very difficult to rent a car here. If it wasn’t for Federika taking over and giving us a good deal on the rental we would have never done any business here.

I was expecting much worse after reading the reviews on here. The car was available but it did take about 30 minutes of waiting for it to be cleaned.

This location at the DFW airport is well organized and a very popular choice for many travellers as their desk was by far the busiest. While we waited in line a little aprox 15mins, every team member was extremely friendly and helpful. Jackie made our experience incredible with her recommendation based on what our plans were for travel over the few days in Dallas and what tolls, gas options would suit us best. This was so helpful and we did not feel rushed, she was able to add my travel companion for a fair price and provided us a great choice of vehicle for our trip. We will 100% use Hertz DFW again! Thank you Jackie and team.

Total Desaster. We rented a car with Hertz after being on the phone with them many times for hours. We needed to take the car across the Mexican border so we wanted to make sure everything is set.After our flight got cancelled we had to reschedule the pick up. We called Hertz again, the guy made the amendments and (we thought) we’re good to go.Arriving at Hertz DFW the lady had no idea about our booking. After some confusion and checking we realised that the agent we called changed the booking for a day and another month. Not their fault, but they weren’t helpful at all and it took us 3 1/2 hours to sort out the issue with the call centre, bc the lady at the counter knew nothing.Finally being handed our SUV she didn’t know how to add the insurance to go to mexico.We returned the next day hoping that anyone would know, but they were all clueless and told us to stop again closer to the border.Arriving in McAllen, the lady finally was able to help but told us that SUVs can’t be taken across the border, only Sedans can.Can anyone tell me how no one at Hertz has that information????We were packed under the roof (because we were traveling for business doing an art exhibition) and now had to squeeze everything in a Sedan.Total Desaster.The incompetence of the employees is astounding. Not their fault, but the managers! Who is the area manager for Hertz? Can you please coach your store managers accordingly?During the conversation one of the employees mumbled “an insurance to go to Mexico is AT LEAST 1000$ a day.I mean.. ??? come on… how can someone even have that thought without wondering how stupid that is? Then saying it out loud to a customer.. next level.Still giving 2 stars because though the staff was clueless, they were friendly.

These are some of the most unprofessional people I have ever met in my life. Avoid at all costs. Never been to a hertz location that won’t honor a president reservation.As far as this response, no I will not be downloading a Facebook messaging app to contact you and no I will not use Hertz again.This was a terrible showing from your desk representatives, partially asleep when I showed up, letting other people without reservations at all rent right in front of me. It’s not my job to make sure your staff is appropriately trained and working properly.

Disappointed to find out they aren’t 24/7 so if your flight comes after they’re closed you’re out of luck

Had a great experience with Hertz after a horrible experience with Avis. Used my Hertz Gold plus to get a one way to San Antonio after delayed and canceled flights and a confirmed Avis preferred rental that Avis refused to honor. Counter guy was nice, guy in garage as well. Thanks Hertz

DFW is an amazing location to deal with! Everyone is always so nice and willing to help. The return process is incredibly easy, too. I've rented at this location around 6 times so far this year and only had good experiences. Their President's Circle selections are great, too. I've seen some really nice vehicles that I can choose from, sometimes making the decision really difficult. Great job, DFW Hertz staff!

Unprofessional and rude! Did not honor reservation opting to price gouge and take reservations from customers who hadn't booked in advance and were forced to pay more when there was high demand. They had the car and turned me back from the checkout booth saying they were sold out, despite me having a reservation and being in an available car. When I protested they said I should take it up with corporate and wouldn't open the gate snarling up the line even further. Never renting from Hertz again!
