LHBC is one of the most welcoming church communities I have ever been blessed to be apart of. They strive for every aspect of worship to be done as a community, & always highlight the clear lines to Christ that run through all of scripture. I’m so grateful for the staff & all they do for the congregation.

From Lake Highlands Baptist Church
Over the past 120+ years, the mission of our church has not changed. We exist to tell others about Jesus and to equip them to follow Him. We are thrilled to do that together and would love for you to come be a part of this great mission.
The story of Lake Highlands Baptist Church began when a group of Christians met in the South Park School of Dallas, TX to organize a new church. Located a few blocks southwest of Fair Park, the church’s original name was South Park Missionary Baptist Church. In 1909, the name was changed to Forest Avenue Baptist Church. In 1959, the church relocated to its current location in the Old Lake Highlands neighborhood and changed its name to Lake Highlands Baptist Church.
