I took my 1st yoga class in 2003 & have experienced many studios. When I came to The MAT, I knew I had found my home. Well run, outstanding teachers, & actively builds a community which has allowed me to make life long friends. Come join our community!

I just love this yoga studio. The staff and instructors are so inviting and helpful. The space is lovely and calming. It's very clean. The props are organized, even when the class is full you have space. It's a joy to be able to practice here.

The Mat is more than a yoga studio; it’s a positive, uplifting, and encouraging community. There are classes for all levels and many different yoga styles are represented. People of all shapes, sizes, and ages call The Mat home. I could not recommend this lovely, respectful studio more.

This is more than a yoga studio- this is my second home and it is a place where I can breathe and stretch and push myself while learning acceptance. The classes are excellent, the teachers are incredibly knowledgable but also supportive and warm, and the overall environment is friendly and peaceful. I am so lucky to have The Mat in my life!

There is no place like The Mat for incredible teachers who are a joy to experience the love of yoga! A special thank you to Lisa Coyle, whose assistance with meditation helped me through a very stressful time.

I bought the 3 weeks for $39 deal and have been loving it! Unfortunately, I don’t think I can afford to become a regular member, at $109 per month. No shade to the business! I’m just a college student lol. To anyone looking for other yoga studios, Summit Plano has great yoga classes as well and their membership is only $75 per month (plus unlimited rock climbing and bouldering) or $60 per month for students. The facility is very nice and the instructors are very kind; to me, it’s just not worth the high cost when there are similar offerings for cheaper, especially with a student discount. ? Hope this helps!

I go to the Mat as often as possible. I’ve tried other studios and it’s just not the same. I feel safe there because the studio owner makes sure everything is clean. The doors are locked when class starts to protect my practice. It’s this hour long bubble of bliss - every day. If you can’t make it on time - don’t post one star because you missed out, that’s on you, not the studio.

I have been practicing here for almost 3 years. I tried a lot of places before I found a community I really like. Lots of different class options throughout the week. Awesome teachers. And members have the option to attend in person, live sessions via Zoom or have access to the recordings of classes.

Would give a zero star if I could. I was really, really looking forward to my first session. Today was very special for me, so I thought I would get a yoga session started at a new studio.I drove half-hour on the toll way, got there, and found that the door was locked. At first I thought may be they were not there. So I called the owner and it turned out that they LOCK the door right when the session starts. So if you are a few seconds late, not to mention a minute late, you are completely locked out. The only good thing is that the owner picked up phone. Then she spent the next 10 minutes trying to explain why locking people out and not forgiving people arriving even a few seconds late is a great business. From their website, it seemed like they also have other very strict rules. Anyways, I l have been to so many studios before and this is the first one that locks people out and self-righteously justifies itself. She also said that she sent out email reminding people at the beginning of the class about the rules, which I never received anything except for the confirmation msg below. I ended up spending more than an hour on nothing.Thank you for ruining my day.
