“Been a customer for almost 10 years. Great value as compared to the other P.O. Box prices around Austin. The postmaster, Elizabeth Owens, has always been a helpful and trustworthy custodian of my box.”

“It's rarely busy in here because not many people know about it. It's really for the state employees that work in the area, i feel. There's usually one person here to support the services needed. I got help with submitting my passport from Aaron who was thorough and explained the process. I also got 2 hallmark cards. They are open for self service during closed hours.”

“I have been to plenty of PO around Austin, Tx and this one by far is my number 1 go to. Today made it even easier for me to give them a 5 star review! I had accidentally swapped shipping labels and realized after I had dropped the packages in the after hours drop box. They had already been closed for 50 minutes. I knocked on the corner door expecting no one to answer but a nice gentleman opened and gave me my packages back to fix my error. This would have been a costly mistake had he not been so kind to open the door and even let me fix my labels. Thank you to all the great employees at this location for being so kind and understanding. Anywhere else I wouldn't have gotten this fixed.”

“I love the kind indian lady who worked here today, March 13, 2024. She was very helpful with me change of address and mailing. Much appreciated compared to other Usps location staff! Give her a raise.”

“Molly and Carolyn are the nicest postal office clerks I’ve ever encountered. They were very helpful and kind as I had questions about stamps for my wedding invitations. I was so impressed by their level of service!!”

“I had a great experience at this USPS location. The representative was very polite and helpful, guiding each of us in the line to find the best options for our shipping needs. He even took parcels from the line to speed up the process. I don't know his name, but he wore an electronic watch with the American flag on it. Everyone in the facility was very polite. Unlike the office near the Domain location, I was not asked to buy tape before attaching the shipping label in this location. Everything was packed beautifully in front of me for free. I will definitely go the extra mile to come to this facility next time.”

“I went close to noon on a weekday. Friendly fast service. Almost didn't go based on other reviews. Service here was so much better than the other PO I used on Menchaca in South Austin.”

“A truly terrible situation was handled wonderfully by the supervisor but some of the employees working at this location are extremely flippant, incompetent, and completely uninterested in helping. I would first like to acknowledge the amazing customer service my wife and I got from Crystal the supervisor. She resolved an issue that was being worked on by three other employees in about 15 mins. She knows her stuff and was extremely efficient and helpful. I would also like to acknowledge the other employees involved in this. We spoke with two managers, one of which has short hair and glasses and is named Mary J. and an employee named Britany. Britany was immediately disrespectful and unhelpful and seemed to have no idea what she was talking about. Mary the manager gave us information that directly contradicted the information we received from another manager as well as Crystal the supervisor. Mary was extremely rude and dodged our questions repeatedly whether by choice or due to incompetence. She tripled down on the completely incorrect information she gave us. When my wife asked her how it would be possible for someone random to pickup a package without an ID and address and name or tracking number. She said she didn't know over and over and had no answer for us. It's really disheartening that Mary the manager has so little regard for the valuable items belonging to others. We ultimately had to start an investigation with the postal inspectors because of the value involved to see if we could get anywhere that way. This was the only option we had left to try after calling the branch and usps customer service and going to the post office repeatedly. Today we came up to get the information of the employees involved (Mary J and Britany) and when we arrived Britany told us that Mary wanted to speak with us but Mary was conveniently in a meeting when she was told it was us (we had been three times before) and was defensive when we asked for the information we were told to ask for by the postal inspectors. Britany basically disappeared into the back after not helping at all and making the situation more stressful for everyone involved, just like all of our previous visits. This is when Crystal the supervisor took over and got the job that defeated an incompetent manager and I guess what you could say is an employee done in about 15 minutes. We are forever grateful for her help. I hope Britany and Mary either go through training and onboarding again or find a profession where they aren't responsible for anything important or even remotely valuable or fragile and do not have any interaction with the public. Thank you Crystal!”

“I guess when it comes to public institutions people only put in reviews when they have a bad experience. We just moved to Manor and my experience with USPS has been so far good. Got the mailbox set up instantly. Got keys on the first visit and started getting packages the next day. The lady on the counter was polite, friendly and quick despite being the only person at the counter and having continuous inflow of customers. However it is inconvenient that they are closed on SAT and SUN. Hopefully that will change and they will get more staff given the rate at which Manor is growing”

“Postal employees were helpful and efficient. Not sure why this place gets so low reviews, it seems pretty efficient and nothing abnormal from a regular post office. Lines can be long but they move. Seems people come to the counter unprepared and that appears to be some of people’s gripes which is completely user error and not fault of the employees”

“I'm a mail carrier based out of this very station. I appreciate and applaud the open honesty expressed by the reviewers thus far, but the lobby side of the front counter is only half of the story.I suspect that a majority of the reviews here are posted immediately following what is perceived to be a negative experience. As such, these reviews are laden with extreme emotion that, while I do not doubt is heartfelt, does little to explain the issue objectively or offer any suggestion of how the USPS can improve the customer's experience. There's also another side to the story. For every anger-laced review I read, I'm compelled to ask: How would a bystander honestly rate the behavior of the reviewer while the described incident was taking place? Did you know that incidents of customers throwing objects at the front counter clerks is not only not unheard of, it's becoming alarmingly commonplace? All I can say, with all honesty at my disposal, is that I know of no career employee at this station that does not care deeply about customer service and full commitment to their job. That being said, they are just as human as anyone else.Let me ask some simple favors of everyone reading this before you begin typing out that next review. Think of your own carrier; the woman or man who delivers mail to your mailbox. How would you rate *their* dedication to their task? Could you do better if you were in their place? Could you take on the responsibilities of a front counter clerk for even a single day and maintain a smiling face and positive attitude through it all? These are purposely open-ended questions; there's no correct response. All I'm asking is that you please try to keep an open mind. Thank you for your attention.”
