“Samano’s Hobbies is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place is run by people who genuinely love what they do. The selection is awesome — whether you’re into models, RC, collectibles, or just browsing for something new, there’s always something cool to discover. What really sets this shop apart is the customer service. The staff are friendly, patient, and super knowledgeable without ever making you feel pressured. They’re happy to answer questions, give recommendations, or help you find exactly what you need, whether you’re a beginner or a longtime hobbyist. The store is clean, well-organized, and has that classic hobby shop vibe that makes you want to hang out and talk about your latest project. Prices are fair, and it’s great supporting a local business that clearly cares about its customers and the hobby community. Highly recommend Samano’s Hobbies — definitely a 5-star experience every time!”

“Had a AWESOME time at the lego store for their mini build event! We all went as a family and upon entering were greeted by such lovely workers. They moved the line quick and made sure everyone was taken care of. Son actually didnt complain and wants to come back. They have a steal deal where you can custom build your own Lego people for $9.99 and you can build 3! We all were big kids that day LOL. UPDATE: 8-21-2025 Mena was so kind and had a beautiful smile! Checked in on everyone to make sure we were content UPDATE : 6-28-2026 - Love the new layout!!!! Went for the mini builder event and although the store was caught off guard lol they still got us in and we enjoyed it as usual. Also grabbed another lego set!”

“Found the exact obscure pieces my son needed in the exact colors from a YouTube video he saw in one of the bins they had available. The employees were knowledgeable and helpful, and ended up spending more than I planned. Closer to us than the mall, easier to get to, and provided a better overall experience.”

“I love this place but I sure wish they would list what's on each isle using a sign at the end of the isle, like at Walmart, HEB, for people who are new to the store or infrequent shoppers.”

“This is a great place to find unique paper you can't fine elsewhere. The staff is very knowledgeable as they are all crafters themselves. The owner sets up events for crafters to get together and craft. The groups are filled with cardmakers, traditional scrapbookers and junk journalers. They also host a craft garage sale 2 times a year. This is a great place and great for the community.”

“This is my neighborhood store. I come here often. Usually everyone is super friendly, although checkout can be a little slow. Came today and found the store manager, Gloria, to be a rude and unhelpful. She lacks customer service skills and the checkout guy had to help me and multiple people while she seemingly was on a personal phone call. Disappointing giving she’s the “manager”.”

“Great overall store. Could use some tlc and a new face-lift but a great overall store and probably one of the largest inventories of mtg singles you will find in houston.”
