“Today marked the day the my worst fear came true as a parent…. My daughter being 2 years old wanting a toy and because I told her no she threw a fit and ran. Now normally she doesn’t go far while I quickly pick up the toy and go after her but today she ran and I couldn’t find her. I ran and checked everywhere and i went into a panic. As soon as a worker saw me looking for her they shut down the store. No coming in or going out. They knew exactly what to do and helped me find my daughter. I couldn’t contain my tears and the young man can towards me with my baby at hand. They even gave her a sweet treat after to calm her down and made sure to check on me after. I’ve been a mom for 6 years and something like this has NEVER happen to me so for me to say appreciate the

“This McAllen B&N is excellent - I would venture to say it's better than the ones in San Antonio. Very nicely laid out, lots to see, loads of variety & knowledgeable staff who are also friendly & helpful. The cafe is also clean & has a good selection. If you are a book lover or wish to buy a present this is a great choice, plus they carry a wide assortment of gifts, toys & stationary as well. Very nice. Highly recommended.”
“Hidden gem of a bookstore tucked away in the city. It’s a small space, but very cozy and welcoming, perfect for getting lost in books for a while. The owner is incredibly kind and truly knows her books; she takes the time to recommend titles based on what you’re into, and you can tell she’s passionate about what she does. A warm, peaceful spot that makes you want to come back again.”

Despite this not being on their end, instead owing to the publisher, multiple staff members went above and beyond to resolve this issue, clearly communicating the steps we could take to work out a solution. With their help, it all worked out perfectly: I was introduced to another way to purchase the digital book while also receiving in-store credit to do so.”
