Went in for new battery. Everything was fine and ready to go but then it needed a new alternator and gasket. Just wish they would have figured it out all at once

Their front door has the business hours posted . They are suppose to open at 730am. Is close to 8 am and they are still closed. This is not the first time I encountered this issue at this location.

I highly recommend you go to another car repair place. They not only misdiagnosed my car but tried to charge me additional money for work they should have fixed. I called to make a complaint and the manager told me they could fix what the mechanic missed for an additional 900.00. He would give me a 30 % discount. I emailed the corporate office and still no reply from them. They fixed my check engine light codes but 2 hours later they came back on. Believe me 9 out of 10 times you will have to bring your car back because they didn't do a good job.

I had an awful experience at Pep Boys and will not be returning. I scheduled an appointment to drop off my car at 4 PM for tire alignment, rotation, balancing, and fuel injection services. Initially, I was quoted $362, which matched what I had researched on their website. However, an hour after I dropped off my car, I received a call saying they had “mistakenly” given me the wrong quote and that the price had increased to $400. When I reminded them of the original services and prices quoted, they claimed prices had “just increased” but eventually agreed to match the original quote.
What made things worse was their lack of communication and delay. By 7:40 PM, I still hadn’t heard back, so I called for an update. I was told they had only just pulled my car in and hadn’t even started working on it. Their excuse was that they “got busy with other things,” which they repeated multiple times. If they were unable to complete the services, they should have been honest from the start instead of wasting my time.
When I went to pick up my keys, the person who initially helped me seemed to be hiding in the back, avoiding the situation altogether.
This experience was unprofessional, disrespectful of my time, and incredibly frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend Pep Boys to anyone looking for reliable or honest service.

They don’t work with after market rims. Note, my rims are no bigger than a regular stock trucks. I understand if they can’t but they waited 1 hour and 30 minutes to tell me that. Horrible service.

I recently had a terrible experience at this particular store. I had called days before I had taken my truck to ask about pricing for a wheel alignment on my suv. I was told it would be about $100 dollars and the wheel alignment inspection would be free.
I took it in over the past weekend to
get the wheel alignment done and when I went back to pick it up. The wheel alignment was not done and the service advisor gave me a full report/quote of all the issues on my suv. Totaling to $2k. I kindly declined the services and asked for the wheel alignment only but the advisor kept insisting on getting the other parts because he said the wheel alignment was not going to fix my issue. Since that was the case I declined all services. which at that point I was being charged nearly $100 for the inspection. I told him that I agreed to pay for a wheel alignment and not an inspection. He insisted that I agreed to it and that I was never told the inspection was free when I was told that over the phone before taking it in. He also pushed it in my face that I signed for it but I clearly remember signing when I told him I needed the alignment and his handwriting was very poor to where I couldn’t even understand what he wrote down. After going back and forth with him he threatened to call the cops which is why I ended up paying but this was very misleading and I feel like this advisor Robert Lozoya pulled this on me because he felt like I wasted their time and because I declined the additional services that he recommended. Sorry that you guys didn’t get your expected commission on this one but I went in there for a wheel alignment and that is what I requested from the beginning, As a customer that should’ve been respected and Robert shouldn’t have taken it upon himself to do a full inspection and he should have acknowledged the fact that I was misinformed by one of his staff members about the inspection being free but regardless I did not agree to pay for an inspection I AGREED TO PAY FOR WHEEL ALIGNMENT so the one that committed theft and that should have had the cops called on them was pepboys on MESA.

Horrible service. Went for a state Inspection and asked how long the wait, he ignored my question and continued the process, after 40 mins he comes back and tells me the Inspection guy is not there. Definitely not coming back.

Horrible service and never coming back. If you ever go here make sure NOT TO TALK TO ALEX. We can in talking about fuel pump or fuel injector problems and they ran the wrong diagnostic for 3 days while we were stranded in a hotel. Long story short, they couldnt find the problem because they weren't looking anywhere near the right place.

Really bad service. Got here at 7:25pm with a blown tire & they didn’t want to help me out, keep in mind they close at 8:00pm. They preferred to lose my business than to stay a bit later. Never coming again, first & last time coming here.

Canceled appointment as soon as I got there. They were rude, I am suspecting because I give off my gay demeanor. I made an appointment, yet I was told that they weren’t doing alignments because they were repairing; however, vehicles were being done on the alignment. They could have called as a courtesy; considering that I requested a call back when I scheduled my appointment.
