Chartered in 1944, Paso Del Norte Post 58 is the oldest American Legion Post in El Paso, Texas. Located in Northeast El Paso, Post 58 supports and sponsors schools in EPISD as well as the Parkland Schools of YISD. It is the 1st Legion Post to carry the distinction as a "Purple Heart Post" by the Military Order of the Purple Heart. American Legion Post 58 is truly a special place. Visitors are greeted with a warm welcome and a genuine sense of belonging. It's more than just a post, it's a family. Everyone looks out for one another, and the environment is full of respect, camaraderie, and pride in service. Whether you're a veteran, a family member, or a guest, you'll always feel included and valued. The events are well-organized, the leadership is strong, and the support for both veterans and the local community is inspiring. Post 58 is great for veterans and their families to enjoy great camaraderie, food, and support for the veteran community. The post has new leadership and is looking to engage more with Fort Bliss and other veteran organizations. Visitors praise the friendly bartenders, the commander, the karaoke, and the delicious food.
